The NBA is undergoing absolutely massive viewership tanking, interest in the game is declining and the majority of the interest comes from Zoomers that have no attention span and don't have their own money. Adam Silver is panicking to adjust rules heavily to rekindle buzz. The NBA has a propensity for wild scandals and the willpower to manipulate outcomes.

This reeks of backdoor discussions and a league-altering push to revitalize the league's biggest franchise to try and save a faltering league?

Apparently, no other teams had any idea Luka was available and the Mavs opted to not shop him to any other teams? Sure, bud. This is the WWE.

Seeing Jimmy Johnson walk away was painful, but this is next level as a fan. Sports are a cope, but this is a sort of rug-pull that makes you feel sick. Still absolutely gutted.

The only way this makes any kind of sense is that Luka said he would absolutely never resign with the Mavericks. His contract is up soon, as far as I can tell. But even if that was the case, why wouldn't you shop him around? AD is a great player but he's over 30 and gets injured a lot and isn't in the same tier as Luka. I have to believe you could have found a better team with some other team.

It also doesn't really make sense for the Lakers as a team looking forward unless Lebron is retiring soon. I mean, I guess Kyrie and Luka were working out sharing but Lebron isn't as good a shooter as Kyrie.

Just seems weird all around.
