Allegiant is retractable grass and iirc is also garbage that's even worse than turf. They're so desperate to squeeze every last penny out of those stadiums that you'd think they were on the verge of bankruptcy or trying to pay ransom demands or something.

Not to nitpick all this shit, but it's kind of stupid that counts as a receiving TD. If so, then Cooper should get credit for throwing a TD. Not trying to take anything away from Allen, dude is a stud and it was a great play. Just silly they count it that way.

Well he's not passing it (Cooper). It's a backwards lateral. It's just crazy to think of some fantasy teams double dipping with Josh Allen on that play getting both a passing and receiving TD.

That's just the bullshit they tell us because it's harder and more expensive to maintain. 50% of stadiums are grass so it's all bullshit. One reason is that extracurricular usage is a good selling point when 30ish billionaires are trying to shake down a city to pay for a new stadium. Another is that they've already invested in fake grass and don't want the effort and expense to redo it. The final, and most obvious, reason is that they are cheap and don't give a damn about the players or the game.

You have to remember that most teams, unlike the Cowboys, spend most of their time in a separate practice facility - many of their stadium lockers are literally only used for ~6 hours a week.
