One rule I wish some team would propose, is penalties near your own end zone. If it is 1st and 10 at the 2, and you get a penalty, they say half the distance to the goal. So what should be a 5 or 10 yard penalty, is 1 yard. If you can't actually be penalized the yards, they should move the first down markers out further. So it should still be first and 15, they just move the first down marker up, instead of moving you back.

They should have to take the next snap in the end zone. End zones are 10 yards deep, so if you have a penalty that backs you into your own endzone, you better run a play that gets you out of it or it's a safety. And, good luck getting a punt off, if you are snapping 5 yards deep in your own end zone, lol.

It's funny, the tush push I don't mind as much, although the whole "intentional offside we will just award a TD" bs is stupid, when you know the D isn't trying to go offside, they're trying to perfectly time the snap.
But it does kind of fall under a type of play I wish they wouldn't count the yardage for, when a ball carrier is stopped dead but is still somewhat trying to push forward, then gets propelled forward from like 3 O linemen running into him from behind and they end up pushing him an extra 5-10 yards. That's when I can see the tush push falling under same type of "rugby play" label because it's less the ball carrier earning the yards themselves. But if they ban tush push, I wish they'd blow those other plays dead, as well.

This might be the play I remember. If the timestamp doesn't work, go to 14 min. Being against the cowboys would explain why I saw it. But I thought he actually got him over the line and it got called back on penalty. Maybe he also did it in the superb owl.
