Do you have any evidence that is the case besides GW propaganda? I haven't seen anything actually praising AoS, much less any independent market share analysis or similar study based on sales trends.

Other then attendance at large events like NOVA and Adepticon? Adepticon this year had 104 at the Sigmar championships. There were 94 in the last WFB champioship.
I was at The War Store last weekend. While there I was chatting with them. Their AoS sales are doing very well.
At the end of the day none of that matters if you don't have local people to play against.
Right now there are 500 people watching a live stream of the SCGT. That event sold out its 200 tickets in under an hour iirc.

Theres a couple of AoS players around here (Charleston WV) but mainly they are the die-hard GW lovers. No matter what GW does they defend it. KoW and Warmahordes are the most popular table-top games. We have 6-8 KoW players on Tuesdays and 12-15 for Warmahorde nights.

We lost almost all our Warmahordes players. I have literally never seen a game of KoW. PP is actively trying now to upset their fans. Soles posts late last week drove away some of the last few in my area who were serious about Warmahordes. We used to do 4 round or 5 round events every weekend and now we are lucky to get 6 or 8.

Warmachine is popular here because we the few 40k players we have are complete assholes. They go out of their way to shit on every other game. It pisses people off and they just stop playing 40k. Hopefully 8th edition pisses the old bastards off and they die of heart attacks.

I don't really get that attitude in wargaming. It's a problem everywhere. Instead of absolutely shitting on other games, talk about why your game is really good. Be positive. One of our local PG's used to slam on 40k at every chance. It turned a lot of people off from joining the community because everything was so negative all the time.

3-1 with 58 battle, but about to eat a loss to abyssal dwarves. Daniel king is the highest in battle at 65. If I can snag one win tomorrow I will be the most successful trident player and likely in the top ten. My guess is game six will be some broke dick ratkin list, given my luck.

Yeah it was my second game with him, wife played him as well. Nice looking army and great guy to play (both games incredibly close).
Anyhow, I managed to pull 4-2. I came in 19th out of the 90ish that were there in battle, but my painting is not up to Texas standards so my overall was 26th I think? Good weekend all around, considering the goofy list I ran. My game against Chavez could have gone either way and the only autolose matchup was against Kennedy's Abyssal Dwarves, but that was still a decent game. This year was a lot more fun than last year, both in terms of crowd, scenarios, and quality of the painting.
Really looking forward to the more relaxed Bayou Battles, though.
