I'm a little salty how gassed up Obi-wan was for what it was-- while Andor genuinely trying to move the guts of what Star Wars could be, gets little to no promotion.

Remember all those Obi-wan commercials during the lead up to the NBA finals...

I understand why Andor can't get that type of push, but it doesn't change the fact it should be for the health of the franchise. This is more of the tone people want to see. Something cinematic.

it could be good, but i see way too many females in power roles for any hope that it wont be another white men bad, women and minorities rock storyline. now, if thats how star wars was originally then its no problem. when you retcon the past so it doesnt match up with the future canon. its no different than what they are doing with RoP and HotD. I'm also kind of sick of the empire at this point. was there never any threat to the galaxy before or after? why are there fat empire dudes? was the empire always the baddies? how did it start? why do i need to keep caring about an entity that was ultimately destroyed. twice? if the rebels continue to win against the empire, how did they become an empire? just stop with the fucking Empire already. how about a wookie invasion? or rancors or mythosaurs running amok on planets like xenomorphs in Aliens? come on. give us something new and fun.

Looks like this got all the money, directing, editing, cinematography, and actors that Obi-Wan should have. Disney really cheapened the entire franchise with Boba and Kenobi. Either go all in or leave it alone.

Yeah, you're right, because Princess Leia didn't exist in the OT, the entire rebel alliance wasn't run by a woman, and the makeup of the Empire's leadership wasn't 100% white Englishmen.

Concept wise this is probably the most interesting thing they’ve done other than mando. But I feel like that show was just a fluke. This will probably be shit and not worth the time it’ll take me to pirate it.

This looks pretty damn good. But so did all the other trailers for the shows. Rogue One was by far the best of the Disney SW movies. I think this story not having any of the main characters will really help it out.

what are the odds a known jedi/sith shows up? Ahsoka, Darth Vader, the two guys from Rebels, etc

what are the odds a previously unseen (live) jedi shows up?

i really hope nobody with a lightsaber ever shows up, but it feels like the crutch all star wars show rely on now

She didn't.

She has, however, been consistently portrayed as an incompetent moron who would have been captured and executed for treason against the Empire if the crew of the Ghost hadn't rescued her, who would have led the Rebellion to failure if people hadn't defied her, and then led the New Republic to ruin by insisting on demilitarization.
