i guess thats why they are starving artists. its funny, he could have probably commisioned the actual artist of the Marvel pictures and gotten a non crazy estimate. i would have just found a high rez image and had it custom printed to the size i wanted and then had it framed.

i can buy a 32 inch tv for $99, so why wont they sell me a 128 inch tv for $396? its just 4x bigger but im paying 4x the price

no probs. these arent paintings though, but at least when you get sick of one you can always switch it out for another. Marvel is super popular and you could probably find Marvel themes for anything.

Those wall murals are generated photoshops for the purposes of the sales page. Don't assume that it's going to look that good, or that it's going to arrive from China intact.

A friend of mine is probably one of the leading expert in the world when it comes to movie posters. Among the things I gathered from our discussions that might not be obvious are the followings : Many poster formats are multi sheets. Most posters are folded, so a vintage movie poster that spent decades folded will have visible fold marks. An authentic movie poster is usually damaged because it has been part of exploitation material, so it got sent to theaters and hang there with staples or pins, before being unstapled/unpinned and sent back to the distributor. Another potential blemish is censor stamp.
