Didn't they ask Cheryl why she even bothers working and her answer was more or less that she did it for the lulz?
I am not sure if this is still the case, but at one point she said she did it because otherwise she'd have to ask her brother for money (they have joint authority or some shit it seemed), and "he's creepy."

I always figured Cheryl works because she's not nothing better to do, without the job she's just sitting around in her mansion sniffing glue all day. Maybe it was a condition of her release from being institutionalized? ISIS gives her structure (a good thing considering how nuts she is), something to kill time with, and she gets to watch all the crazy shit that goes on there. Hell, a workplace like that, I'd hang around even if I didn't need the money. It's not like she's got her nose to the grindstone when she's there.

Anyway, I don't think the show has slipped too far. It's not as fresh and inspired as it was in the first two seasons, and yeah some of the jokes are a little repetitive, but overall I'd say it's about as good as you can expect an animated comedy to be in it's fourth season.

Your mistake was trying to make sense of this show. Just sit back and laugh.

"Apologize for what, Dunkirk?" was my favorite part of the last episode. Much like the Gilles-de-Rais reference.
Yeah, this is definitely the smartest comedy on TV. They aren't concerned about everyone getting every joke. Little stuff like the aforementioned Dunkirk reference, Gilles-de-Rais, and the numerous autism references in that one Coyote episode (my favorite being Archer counting the number of fired bullets). It's refreshing to have a comedy not feel like it has to spell out every single joke for the audience.

Still loved him sarcastically telling Lana that he was stacking rocks by ascending size, then we see he actually WAS stacking rocks by ascending size...

Thought they made it clear Cheryl works because she doesn't want to ask her creepy brother for anything to include money.

It's important to note that she worked at ISIS prior to her parents dying and her inheriting money, so it's more a question of why hasn't she quit versus why did she ever work. Since then, ISIS technically "protects" Cheryl, so I guess you could always just say she just sticks around for safety.

All excellent points. My opinion on Cheryl has genuinely been changed.

There was really no way it could measure up to last week's episode, but there was some good lines. Also Pam as a field agent is only going to be fantastic so hopefully she gets some missions.

Was a decent episode, but I'll admit the final scene with archer and the dog had me laughing for five minutes straight. I don't know what made it so funny but, for me at least, the payoff was worth it.

The entire Pam section of the show was hilarious. Pam as a field agent?

As someone who owns two giant dogs, I couldn't stop laughing all episode. The farting dog was hilarious.

I've got a big ass malamute and whenever he eats this certain type of treat he turns into a fucking fart machine. It's foul. So yeah, I laughed pretty hard. The biggest laugh for me was the final poot after all the barking.

This show was funnier in about 5 minutes last night than the entire season of Community has been so far and this wasn't even the best episode of the season. One of the smartest comedies on tv ran with a half episode long fart joke and it was fucking killing me how well that they pulled it off. Adam Reed if fucking bad ass.
