I don't see Nyssa/Merlyn being some sort of inevitable showdown and even less so for this season. Everyone wondering who's in the grave would be perfect since everyone's asking who's in the grave when the real question should be who they are talking about killing. Or maybe I've watched too much Sherlock recently and am giving this show too much credit.

Honestly, even if they do go that route it's more likely to be the season 5 villain than Merlyn. Merlyn's just done so much shit that they should have killed him for, though, that it wouldn't really surprise me if he did some shady shit and maybe some "ends justify the means" thing in helping stop Darhk that they finally draw the line.

merlyn is definitely up to something this season. there are still 14 or so episodes left and they are still filming them so basically anything can happen before its all said and done.

Only person I can think of he killed in a fight to the death was Ras. He definitely isn't sentencing people to death anymore, and is purposely trying to avoid it.
Really? You should watch the entire first season. "You have failed this city." Not only has he killed plenty, but in the latest episode lance even made a reference to him going back to dropping bodies. If that's too long ago for you then just watch the last fucking episode. He's killing ghosts left and right. Or do you think they pull through when dropped onto a transformer and electrocuted?

Are you on drugs? We are talking about his vow to stop executing people after the first season. Also Lance said that because he told him he planned to kill Damien Darhk not because he is currently sentencing everyone to Death again. FYI he did not kill Damien when presented the chance in the same episode...

And those Ghosts Suicided under questioning last episode, like they are trained/brain washed to do since we first saw them... Good lord man, I thought Astrotard had a bad memory. The Ghost even runs off the roof to his death when he drops on that transformer...

If that wasn't enough the scene right after that Oliver is talking to Diggle when he asked how it was going and he says " They would rather kill themselves then talk.."

Just think how about how stupid that sounds to begin with... He's killing the Ghosts while their answering his questions on the location of Darhks hideout.... Come on Man.

Column, relax. And without posting a 14 paragraph response, you saw a ghost take an arrow to the heart last episode and then fall back into a electric box. That happened because of Oliver. Oliver killed him.

First thing you relax chief..

you saw a ghost take an arrow to the heart last episode
I guess punching him with a bow to the chest of an armored Ghost is the same as an arrow to the chest to you...

FYI the guy doesn't die to the first circuit breaker box... He dies from jumping off the roof voluntarily.

Anyone else want to make up how that scene went down? I have the episode right in front of me...

You're Hodjing up the thread posting nonsense..... If you state something as fact you better back that shit up.

Someone took an arrow to the chest though. I do remember that.

Please don't engage Column.
Don't worry Tarrant won't anyway. He will just be proven wrong per usual then immediately abuse his mod powers because he just got embarrassed.

O lookie whats in my inbox, a demerit from our dear Tarrant for my post detailing in pictures that no one got shot in the chest and died in that episode...

Tarrant, dont pay attention to column, oliver has broken his no kill rule a number of times. he straight up murdered count vertigo because he hurt felicity.

and he is most definitely responsible for that "ghost's" death. i mean unless column thinks that guy was already going to jump off that building onto those wires. oliver kills a ton of people in his flashbacks too. this show still delivers the Oliver kills, they are just smarter in how they do it.
oh and he totally fucking killed ra's al ghul

just a few weeks ago he and Flash killed Vandal Savage(sort of).

so lets drop the whole no kill rule bullshit because thats what it is. Oliver only follows it now for minor baddies and even then if they fuck with his homies they will take the dirt nap.

The no kill rule was just one small part of his entire thesis. Even if we deleted the 50% of it that was questionable it wouldn't completely invalidate the comparison he was trying to make. At least as far as I can remember his point. I do have the second worst memory on the forum.

his point was that because batman and arrow share many similarities and some storylines in the comics that everything they do on the tv show is a direct ripoff of batman. which i pointed out is not the case. fuck the comics, if you want to discuss comics go start another thread.

Well he did collect the Savage ashes so he's still up to something.
My hypothesis is that he will dump them into the now jacked up Lazarus pit and it will purify the pit, while bringing back Savage. Side theory is that the pits are somehow tied to or were created by Savage (immortal blood begets immortal hot tub), so the league has an eternal debt/arrangement with him.
