I didn't even know a game came out after AC Valhalla. Just reading about it moving away from the RPG elements makes me more likely to play it, but no where near the threshold to actually play it.
I don't really have hopes for AC Shadows, but if I did it would be to embrace stealth and not RPG.

Mirage - basically a back story of Basim. Was supposed to be a DLC for Valhalla and they turned it into a standalone game.

I actually enjoyed AC:Mirage, I think it took me like 25 hours or so to finish. The story was decent enough, and gameplay was solid. Focused more on being an assassin and stealthy than the most recent games that could be played without stealth. That said, it's also fairly forgettable.

You can try to play stealth, but I'm not sure how immersive it can be when you are playing as a 6+ ft black dude in feudal Japan when the average person was probably 5 ft tall. You are literally the opposite of stealth. I don't see how you can't bust out laughing every time you try crouching your big black ass trying to sneak up behind some other dude and pretending no one notices you.

I'd like to think that they will design around that and feature appropriate missions for each character with some level of player choice for most missions based on which character they choose (similar to say, the Hitman Series where to get the Silent Assassin ranking you need to leave no trace), but let's be real here: the team that chose Yasuke is going to be hit and miss on every other big design decision.

I just watched the gameplay on the Ubisoft stream and the game has a lot of incredible elements.
I firmly the believe the game would have been extremely well-received had the nog been a Japanese man and even more well-received had they both been men that share an honor-bound brotherhood. Or, at the very least, have the option to play as a man.
