That save bug either wasn't real or they fixed the problem quickly, so I'm not sure why people were still making new videos about it this month.

I got the shitty Avatar game from AMD and wouldn't even consider playing it after seeing the first few hours, let alone paying for the DLC. For some reason I still had it installed though, so I loaded up my save just to see if Ubislop really was that retarded. To my disappointment, the save loaded just fine.

But yeah, it doesn't matter what platform you buy their games on, all it does is launch their app and run it from there. It's been like that for at least 15 years (when Uplay was created), how can people not know that by now?

Played some Assassin's Creed 4 recently for the first time since the PS4 launch (end of 2013). Game still looks great, plays great, has gravitas, feels like a real glimpse into history. The naval combat is awesome and the characters are as gruff/grizzled/rough as they should be for an army of pirates.

Easy to forget that this company used to put out some pretty extraordinary games. AC4 took me right back in time to launch week of the PS4 and how impressive it was at the time / how PS4 felt like everything I wanted PS3 to be. Long live Edward Kenway and his band.

I didn't look too hard, but is there a version that runs 60FPS plus? I tried to restart 4 on the PS5 but just couldn't do it.

Also I predict I'll spend more time watching youtube videos trashing this latest release than I'll spend playing the game.

AC4 aka black flag is the next game that is rumored to be getting a remaster, probably see an announcement tonight. Days Gone is also in the rumor mill for a remaster.

AC4 doesn't really need a graphics overhaul, it's already on PS4. Just up the framerate and you're good. I guess it'd be next since they remastered AC3 and Rogue already which are the rest of that particular trilogy. Considering I just bought AC4 the other day to revisit it, I'll be kind of pissed if they immediately announce a remaster.

Ubisoft knows how cooked they are right now. They already are launching remasters (Beyond good and evil) and other past games - I would be surprised to see a plethora of remasters and re-enabling of multiplayer for Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow/Chaos Theory - AC4 remaster, etc. What would be even funnier though is if they tried to DEI the shit out of them in the remaster and censor things.

5 years is a pretty quick turnaround for a remaster and the game doesn't need a remaster, it needs a significant redesign of the critical path so that the enormous amount of work they put into hordes isn't mostly going to waste.

Wonder how long it takes to strip all the DEI/Woke bullshit out of this game because if they are smart that is why it is delayed.

Who am I kidding. With all the hires in the last 4 years from DEI, they probably just can't get the thing passed certification - which really means it won't boot up on a console and input buttons are failing on the controller.
