I'm pretty sure Thor was wearing the kid gloves when he fought Iron Man because he wasn't really trying to hurt him. If you remember when Iron Man falls unconscious from delivering the nuke, Thor very casually tears the faceplate right off his armor without any real effort. I'm pretty Thor would punk Iron Man pretty quickly if the plot of the movies ever actually called for it.

It's not that deadpool doesn't care about getting hurt, it's that his insanity makes him to unpredictable and his mouth makes him too distracting. His enemies can't focus because they are too enraged at his stupidity, which is only made worse by how hard he is to actually put down
Reminds me of the old Authority-main DC crossover where Midnighter (who reads body language as a combat ability) has no idea what the fuck to do against the Joker because his body language is "gibberish".

See I think you've got this backwards. I doubt the average movie goer really puts that much thought into it.
Understood but was again just commenting on how Stan was concerned for the writers, directors, and producers as he thought they would need to take all these things into consideration. We have seen people like Michael Bay just come in and attempt to ruin a beloved franchise and how it causes fans to react. Personally, I think they have a hard job and they've done very well with it. It is to the point now we have Avengers and GotG, I am going to give any Marvel movie a chance.

I agree, they've really done a great job doing justice to Marvel in their portrayal of the characters.

What's kind of cool is I now hear Thor talk in Chris Hemsworth's voice.
Same here. However, I'm a little disappointed that half of his scenes don't involve him saying, "I say thee nay!" I'm not even sure if he's ever even said it once, but I haven't actually checked either.

Thor's dialogue is really cheesy. Problem is, is comic writers are usually not not versed in Shakespearean dialogue. So when they try it, it just comes out as garbage. It reminds me of those memes where common phrases are put into old English.

But then you get the guy who did God of thunder and it's awesome.

So thankfully the movies are more like that. I'm gonna posed when "WHAT DIDST THOU SAY?!? Shows up in film.

Looking forward to these moments but will they bring Adam Warlock and Silver Surfer into the mix?

Warlock? Yes. He's been in 2 easter eggs already. His cacoon was in the collector scene in the dark world, and then again shown open during Howard the duck scene.

Silver surfer on the other hand, fox still owns

Fox can keep him.

Silver Surfer was my favorite comic as a kid, but that was probably because he was shiny and really powerful. He's completely uninteresting as a character.

So i subbed to the Marvel Unlimited because really want to read some of these stories. Just finished up Civil War but then saw there is a lot more comics that tie into it and now im curious is there some sort of place where I can find a reading order for these series. Hate combing the comments to find a list for some of them , was wondering if there is some sort of site or maybe its at Marvel and im just blind.

You guys know that you can get pretty much every comic printed in recent years off TPB right? they are often set up in full series that include reading order of events like Civil War, House of M etc..

Ive never cared for any of the tie ins or side stories of any marvel event. Just a way for marvel to make more bank, and the creative teams are usually the d-list writers artists.

Holy crap , rofl. Is it like this for House of M as well. Thats a lot of comics i missed from just the core issues.Where did you find that list?
Dunno, I googled "marvel civil war reading order"

^^ It's been a long ass time since I read these huge crossover events, but back when I did (grabs my cane) the side stories added almost nothing the majority of the time. As he said, just a way to money-grab. Exceptions of course being the smaller arcs, like when a storyline only went through the mutant books, or something.

It's sort of like the silmarillion to the lord of the rings. Interesting if you like the topic, but very far from necessary reads. Also, as has been said, a lot of the tie ins are forced by upper management so the writers tend to not be very invested in the job, resulting in shoddy stories
