I'm a fan of Eisenberg, and I was stoked when I first saw that picture. I can see him ranting about having everything right, outsmarting every competitor, being cutthroat ruthless to the bottom line and then this mother fucking alien comes around and is bulletproof and breaks all the rules and cuts through all the strings because he doesn't give a shit; asshole even plasters a big S on his chest because he thinks he is superior. Well fuck him, I have this stone, this rock, a pebble is all I need to take this cunt down. *walks past the naysayers and continues his even bigger plan as if none else were even around.
Cranston would have overacted; The only way I see him working is if he did the exact character from Breaking Bad, but I don't think he would. I think he would try something different and suck.

yes, this is often the problem with internet casting.
Heisenbergwould have been an AMAZING Lex. but... we just saw Heisenberg. Asking an actor to just recreate the same character again, is kindof dumb. We won't see Lex. we'd just be seeing Heisenberg again. and be totally unable to separate the two.
And at the same time, It needs to be noted, Cranston played a "Lex Luthor" like character already in the Total Recall remake. the dude played Cohaagen. that movie was shit, and his performance as not particularly good, and entirely forgettable.. (originally played by Ronny Cox, aka Senior VP of OCP Dick Jones. theres a guy that can nail, "dickbag CEO tycoon.) So if he can't make Cohaagen memorable, why do we think he could Lex?

I know the source material and all, but at some point they're going to crap out going to the doom and gloom well too many times.
Maybe it's just the harsh contrast to the fairly exciting Star Wars trailer and the media blitz by an already very successful Avengers franchise. I hope it all works out and it's a great and successful movie.
