That was kinda my point...we've talked about it in the thread before, so I didn't bother with the explanation. He's the only relatively smart person in a house full of morons. Frankie has flashes, but every so often he adds up 1+1 and gets 3. I'd have a lot more respect for what he (Derek) was doing if there was anyone else with half a brain. Since he was brought up in this show...Dan didn't annoy me this much and I think it's because there were actually other threats.

This season is like watching an 8th grader beating up a bunch of 9 year olds.

I don't really agree. Yes there are a lot of stupid, gullible people this season and they have been super boring to watch, but you have to give credit where credit is due. Derrick is a very smart player playing a very good game. He knows just what to say to each person to get them to trust him and open up to him. He has pretty much decided who went home each week without ever telling anyone what he wanted. He makes other people feel like their decisions and feelings are the most important while manipulating them to do what he wants the whole time. I mean he went for 5k at the HoH and no one was the least bit bothered by it which never happens. All his decisions have been very calculated.

And what is best about it. When they go home and watch the show, none of them will feel like Derrick was a scumbag always trying to manipulate them. He did yes, but he was never malicious and gave a lot of people support they really needed.

It was like the season of Survivor Boston Rob won. Yes it was an incredibly boring season full of stupid people but he still played a masterful game. I feel Derrick is playing a similar game.

I definitely miss Zach though. He spiced up the house a lot and seemed to keep Frankie from being the psycho bitch that he has become.

Oh God...comparing this to Boston Rob's game that season is blasphemy. That was a masterpiece where he not only dominated socially and strategically, but also physically when needed. We're talking about a house here where they consider Nicole to be really smart. Derrick's playing a great game, but it's diminished because of who he's playing against. It's possible he could have done this against better players, but we'll never know.

when you watched boston rob tell ppl what to do, but at that point he was boston rob, a survivor legend (even tho he never won), a fan favorite, a 3x veteran, more often than not conquered many challenges, known destroyer of RL friendships to get ahead in the game...

against

sheep and robs crazy dog herder(the black fake fbi guy)

derek isn't yogi bear, he's not smarter than the avg bear, he's an avg bear that got avg police training to make you think "i did it, i really did" after hours and hours of interrogation, well, he's basically in a locked room with HG's for days and days of interrogation.

again, we've said it b4, he's playing chess, when everyone signed up for jump rope, when they even try to elevate their game(question derek), derek falls back on his police training and badgers them into submission, tax payer money trained him for this.

and again, we've seen cops on games, like this years survivor, with cop tony, unless the survivor editors deserve an emmy for editing, he worked his ass off, and at every possible minute they were against him.

i have no idea why there aren't any femi-nazi's raging hardcore on the way derek has treated victoria. he's dragging her to f2, and anytime she has a brain cell thought in her mind, he subdues her free will.

this season was stacked with the dumbest of the dumb and is dereks season to win.

his biggest challenge? was getting rid of donnie.

Derrick is an under cover cop so it was really unfair to even have casted him. He hasn't even been on the block once and more than likely won't be until it's final 4 or 3. At that point it becomes about winning HoH or PoV and not about being that good socially. The dual HoH didn't help matters either. It prevented anyone from trying to make a big move because it could so easily backfire on you.

i would love to see a bitter jury vote for victoria at this point, thats how much i hate this season.

also aren't the audience not allowed to do anything but cheers? even last season all the racists received cheers or awkward silence.

This season is boring, but what is driving me over the cliff of hatred is Frankie. God I wish that asshole would get evicted and be booed off the stage. I do like Derrick's game and it is the only thing intriguing me at this point. Would it work on a cast of folks with an IQ over room temperature? Probably not, but hell it's the only thing this season has going for it at this point.

There were some boos for Amanda and Aaryn last year. Christine got absolutely eviscerated. I almost felt bad.

Nah, she knows they cheer the people they like even if they don't like that they were voted out. You could tell by how shaky her voice got during the Cody question that she knows why, too.

I watched the premier and the follow up on Tuesday. They went a bit too extreme on their cast. It was funny for the first hour when they would argue over ANYTHING and by argue, I mean nearly come to blows. But it got old real quick, when the hillbilly and the chef nearly came to blows over the hillbilly wanting to cook himself a dead chicken for himself. These people aren't just extreme, they are just bat shit insane (see woman who hugs her self to feel better). It's not a game per se like Survivor and Big Brother. It's going to last a full calendar year, and there will still be 15 there at the end. They do vote off people once a month, but the "evicted" people are immediately replaced with someone else. It has a lot of promise, but the personalities need to mesh more for that to happen.
