if you are on that tomb mission - the busy work one where you have to finish X of Y stupid tasks - and you change javelins, all progress is reset. so don't do that. lol

When I was at that part, most of the shit was already finished for most of those tombs just playing. The only things I had a hard time was the 3 rezzes and the 15 chests. The 3 reszzes because at the time I ran normal difficulty and no one ever died. (finally ran into a "war" event in freeplay where npc were fighting npc, and I got the rezzes there rezzing the jav npc)

enemy scaling is based off weapon levels, if you equip level 1 weapons you will kill stuff faster than any high end masterwork weapons. the damage numbers you see literally don't matter at all and are all lies really

haha, i'm pretty firmly convinced at this point that whoever was in charge of this game must have never actually played a video game before

there is literally no point in grinding for gear, none of it matters

Lol you just cant say stupid shit like this. It could be that specific gun is bugged, lol. Because no other weapon in the game acts like this.

given the hiring practices of big studios this is a pretty good assumption, they likely only played games that were allegories for trans depression

Do a test, go and equip all lv1 shit you had at start and go into GM1 and see how far you make it.

people are saying level 1 class abilities also do way more damage than max level, you can kill the boss of GM1 in apparently under 15 seconds with 4 people who have level 1 class abilities

don't equip level 1 weapons when you are max level, bioware may ban you

Actually it looks like there is a specific bug with the level 1 weapons from what the testing seems to show. I tried a level 7 compared to my max level MW and it basically did dick all damage but a level 1 starter weapon hit really fucking hard. The devs in the live stream say they are investigating this as it clearly is not as intended.

The level one starter ones do. It seems to go across all the level 1 starting weapons from my limited testing. But other higher ilevel but not max level stuff does not show this behavior from what I can see.

Honestly I think with the level one powers it may be a case of nobody internally bothered trying to test level 1 weapons at max level and harder difficulties because mah spread sheet says this should be fine and why would anybody bother using a level 1 weapon at max level in the first place.

They just had a stream outlining the march 12 th patch, and they mentioned that this was nothing but a bug with he weapons themselves.

BTW march 12 th patch pretty much a nothingburger. The biggest takeaway is PS4 crashes and crashes overall. They are doubling down on the loot thing, so I guess im out, lol.

Other minor quality of life shit, they are buffing melee and super dmg in GM1+ buffing some MW weapons..

Next content patch is end of march.

And like I said they are doubling down on loot is perfect now, move along.

That livestream they just had was pretty terrible. Here are some things I remember from the top of my head. I'm sure a bigger list will come from reddit. But yea this game is going to crash and burn as if it hasn't already.. Not sure what I expected but this wasn't it.
  • No new content in March 12th patch.
  • Fixed PS4 Crashes
  • Fixed some of the audio cutting out
  • Fixed Mark of Ruin and Gunslinger Mark
  • Quickplay fixes
  • Removed respawn restrictions in some areas because they are too fucking stupid to add better indicators.
  • No stats page - sounded like it's a ways off
  • Buffed based damage of some MW and Legendary Weapons - might be all?
  • Fixed that level 1 defender bug
  • Start expedition from anywhere in just the fort?
  • Removed white and green loot from higher difficulties
  • No MW or Legendary Supports - no mention of the epics dropping in higher difficulties - still apparently need to farm hard for these.
  • Improve the scaling of support items.
  • Ultimate full but not really full fix
  • You can quickplay strongholds now.
  • Ranger Grenadier component fixed
  • No change to the store - at least yet

As far as I can tell from testing this, its a bug with that specific gun (lvl1 Defender) scaling the HP of mobs down regardless of difficulty. Ran Gm1 freeplay with Defender + MW gear + Epic components (307), easy mode. Replaced Defender with a MW Defender, back to normal. Ran with MW Defender + lvl1 gear, normal experience, in that the lvl1 Gear didn't do more dmg than MW Gear (1200dmg vs. 7500dmg). So its just that weapon mucking things up.

Edit: I didn't have access to other lvl1 weapons, I was just using the default Ranger loadout as a test bed, using various other gears.

Yea, its disappointing that they are not starting the Act 1 rollout til the END of March, rather within March like everyone thought, and they didn't seem to sure about that. What was the doubling down on loot? They are removing white/greens, and are looking to make GM2 / GM3 more rewarding. They didn't mention increasing loot drops for GM1, but I didn't hear them saying they would never do so.

Will the change on MW weapons make them stronger than their L1 counterparts?
They are already are, aside from the lvl1 Defender. And the Defender itself doesn't do more dmg than the MW weapon, it just nerfs HP scaling somehow.
