My daughter loves the game but has a bug where she can't get access to the Tomb of Cariff; she can't get that last Multikill for some reason. I got on after she logged off and with her Storm killed 20+ skorps by myself in under a min at a world event and still no joy. We are just going to slow-walk the story through until she is done but probably shelve it and see whatever is next, until they decide to relaunch when they finally actually finish the game. So much potential, and so much wasted money. If they had only waited one fiscal quarter to launch, they could have had something great. It might have never been great with this release, realistically, but at least not "killing PS4s" buggy before it launched.

Div2 seems like a much better take than Div1, still feel burned by that E3 video. Not really in the mood for a realistic shooter but maybe I will hop on the bandwagon if the first couple of weeks are good. I am so burned out on hopium at this point. Between this and Crackdown 3, which was fine but still kind of letdown, I have been waiting for the games of Feb 19 for years, and really feel disappointed. I may go back and play God of War or Spiderman next.

I have a feeling that if Anthem was the cause of a PS4/PS4 Pro bricking, Sony would remove the title from its platform until the issue was addressed. Since Anthem is still available, I highly doubt Anthem has caused any console to brick. Fake news. That said, it is clear Anthem is causing PS4's to crash/reboot/rebuild, which is pretty bad.

With as sensitive as the PS4 OS is to hard reboots/crashes, especially with how they handle external storage, that really should be reason enough. I think bricking is a bit of an extreme way to describe this, but could a hard crash hose the OS to the point of needing a full restore? Absolutely. My son is terrible with properly shutting down and I've had to rebuild two external drives and a couple full restores as well, so I have seen first hand what this can do.

Classic misinformation leading to panic and paranoia, must be Russian trolls. This guy has a pretty decent response to receiving hundreds of calls yesterday about it:

Holy fuck, lol...

So, you are telling me that the game that fucks up your system so bad that it will shut down your system, forcing you to enter safe mode, and you have to rebuild the database wiping everything clean? I think on PC, we call this a virus.

BSOD's haven't been a major issue with PC games for close to a decade outside of system/hardware issues being triggered by the game (not the game's fault in that case) thanks to a lot of efforts on MS' part to turn application related BSOD's into just program crashes.

I believe "rebuilding the database" doesn't wipe the console clean, lol.

Yeah, it's just a 'safe mode' repair kind of thing. That said, the game shutting your system down instantly is not a good thing.

Of course not, but then again the internet has a way to over exaggerate shit. Like just yesterday the story was Anthem was bricking consoles, which we now know to be entirely fiction.

It doesn't but there are times it gets so corrupted the only thing you have left is a factory reset (or an OS reinstall via USB stick). The bricking language is beyond dumb, and yet again Kotaku and Schrier led the charge with it. With that said, while I have had a few games send me to the home screen, never had one fully shut off the system before, so yeah it is bad, but holy shit why exaggerate it?

Im gonna be laughing at all the fools dogging this game now, in 6 mos to a year when they fix it, they will all be on the bandwagon.

I think the combat is that good. Even compared to the more polished Div2 beta, the combat is way above what that game has.

Thats how people should be tho no? It was hyped, we all got into it, then we saw what it became. Remember Watch Dogs?

Yeah that happened.

The people who wait 6 months to a year are the smart ones, they will bypass all the issues we are dealing with and come into the game when it feels "right" much like D1 TTK and D2 Forsaken.

I have 5 copies of this game and only used 1, i'll wait till its fixed before i have a squad of ppl playing this, until then il just play Apex and D2.

Graphics downgrade aside, idt anything in this demo made it to the release besides location names.

Most of it is there, but a very shallow representation.

I'm still hoping the game digs itself out of it's hole, but a year from now in gaming for me is like a decade with my gaming ADD.

I find it incredibly weird that you think people that don't want to play a broken game (by your own admission) are fools, and that they might enjoy it if it's fixed half a year or more after release. You're crossing into fanboy territory with this mindset.
