Does she really think Bobby was micromanaging Overwatch "projects"? I doubt Bobby gives a shit about Tracer's ass or even knows what a Tracer is.

Anyways, Bobby is going to cash out his merger check, hop on his yacht, sail away to his secret little Epstein island and disappear for a year or two.

Everyone will forget about all of this shit and he'll return as CEO of Pepsi or "Facebook Gaming" or "Metaverse" or some shit. This isn't the last we've seen of Bobby.
Thats literally what they believe. These people are utterly insane;

I'm sure they give him equal credit for all the good things that happened at Blizzard since 1991.

Umm the merger of Vivendi and Blizzard did not happen till 2008.

hahah Shhh, let them keep going.

For real though people seriously think that Blizzard and Activision have been a thing for 30 years?

Right or wrong her complaint is seen in most “tech” companies especially when it’s fucking SaaS.

To clarify I’m not defending Bobby. Just saying most executives in this space are just as shitty as he is.

This woman would hate my job. I mostly do proof of concept work to show how new tools work in practice to solutions architects. 90% of my work is throwaway.

This woman really look like she doesn't know anything about her own company. Then again she works at Blizzard being a game producer on Overwatch, she's probably clueless from the start.

It's just stunning that our ancestors were inventors that failed hundreds to thousands of times before succeeding in creating something new, farmers that would spend generations planting crops and raising herds that could all be wiped out completely by a fluke natural occurrence, and engineers willing to build bridges that they would never drive on. All of that in our history and we produce this totally vapid, uncritical mass of morons that can barely comprehend anything beyond their next double shot, soy foam mocha latte from the shitty POC street-vendor because fuck Starbucks that white-supremacist multi-national that won't enforce vax mandates.

That's adorable that you think humanity hasn't been carried by the few in spite of the dumb masses fucking things up throughout human history, like this is some new thing.

I'm not naive to that fact, but the USA was different. At least for a while it was. Now it seems at least as bad as everywhere else.

I'd say the biggest value MS saw in acquiring Activision/Blizz were the mobile IPs: Candy Crush, Hearthstone, and CoD Mobile. Those 3 games will bring in the most $$.

No it wasn't. The problem is the breadth and reach of communication. In decades and eras past information was hard to transmit, so it was buffered, digested, curated, and edited (real media), so most of what was out there mattered to a common denominator. Now we have Twitter, so the entire population of the world is instantly privvy to what Average Joe thinks while he's taking a shit and we've somehow allowed ourselves to care about it.

I'd be curious to know how they valued the parts internally. The mobile IP obviously has a lot of value in generating revenue and profit, and gives them something they are severely lacking (mobile eyeballs), but is not super synergistic with the current xbox prime directive of getting as many Game Pass recurring subs as possible. CoD and WoW are the biggest help there.

So while I think the mobile IP helped them to justify the huge price tag, the main purpose of the purchase was probably the CoD and Blizzard IP. Anybody that complains about this deal doesn't have Game Pass... it just gets better and better.

Shit 100 years ago half of current day Twitter would’ve never made it to their 18th birthday. Most would’ve died from starvation, lobotomized to cure their insanity or straight up executed.

With the advent of the internet it's really easy to say shit you would never say in person.

Which bit of US history was different? Because there's been fuckups all the way through.

But why, why do people read a stupid far out there tweet, or someone offended at something completely normal, and care? There's not much fucks to be given in the real world, yet for some reason people read a stupid tweet and that becomes the baseline for what needs to be politically correct (not that it's called that anymore)
