Doesn't he lives with his mother's house in the attic? The house is probably paid off and I'm sure he has no intentions moving out of it. So that's one financial obligation he doesn't have to worry about other than fast food, monthly electric/internet bill and soft drinks.

I just don't share the same, "he'll be fine!" outlook as you guys do. Not with a dude who never left his mom's titty until the day she literally died and whose self-admitted life's aspirations were, "I just want to like...do nothing but play video games. That's all I've ever wanted/planned to do".

He came from a poor background and seems to have an understanding of what is needed to avoid that. He even admits he doesn’t spend much because of the fear of falling back into poverty.

His dad/dad’s side of the family is well off from what he tells. I’m sure he has been given decent advice.

The smartest thing a person with money can do is listen to people with a genuine interest in you doing well. For example, Gronk listened to advice about not spending a dime of his NFL pay and making sure that principal works for him, while he lives off endorsements for now.

Right, but I think you're just skimming the surface.

You'd probably say the same thing about Sodapoppin without realizing he's a co-owner for NRG, he owns several houses, his brother manages his finances, and he basically deducts everything as a business expense. Or, Amouranth, who is a fucking shark, since she learned how to abuse loans as a vehicle for tax avoidance.

Asmongold is a co-owner of OTK, which is raking in tons of sponsorship money since it's "new", and he basically threw everything into index funds and leaves it alone (which is literally what anyone with an MBA in finance will tell you to do). He also has one of those Chipolte "black" cards that lets him eat free. If you're conservative and assume a 3.5% annualized return on $2.5 million you're looking at > $75k in interest. He'll be fine.

I think he mentioned that through OTK he gets group medical as well, so that no doubt helps in cutting costs down as well. A lot of streamers, since they are independent contractors, get no benefits and good luck finding an individual medical plan that doesn’t have ass benefits that is reasonably affordable

Dude is way smarter and put together than you want to give him credit for. Have you ever even watched any of his content?

I had the complete wrong impression of him for years, but I started listening to his commentary vids on Youtube every once in awhile. He has a good head on his shoulders and a lot of common sense.

Yeah Asmongold has a lot of very good takes on human psychology, like whipping out a venn diagram to show why boycotting the game to stop cash shop mounts won't work.

Just seems like he's wise to the point that he realises that he won't be happier if he cleans himself up and acheives more.

Some of it, sure, but admittedly not a ton. I really haven't seen any of his content talking about "life", if you will - just the game stuff.

I like Asmon's take on most games and I'm not shitting on the guy. I'm just speaking from my experiences/knowledge of most "top" Twitch streamers.

And that's hard to do when your aspirations are "video games forever!". It's not very conducive to a "healthy" mental state.
