Mist isnt technically wrong. Where I work our primary business software is incredibly niche to the point the way you get answers about issues or how to do something in it is from people who have been using it for years or by asking the developer. Also thanks to vendor lock, the software itself is incredibly not user friendly.

From the articles, it looks like Bobby himself wrote that famous email to staff sent out by Fran Townsend, only in turn to throw her under the bus by calling it "tone deaf" after everyone was enraged by it.
"The story says that Kotick, who “approves most internal companywide emails, as well as media responses”, drafted the email himself, and then directed that it be sent under Townsend’s name, likely because she was one of the few women executives at a company run predominantly by men."
That also makes it more plausible that he would've been in the loop of all the allegations flying around at least during the JAB era, and that media control shit also explains why Blizzard communication is such a total mess, when they literally have to get things approved by Bobby himself.

I don't think its overblown. I believe there were legitimate instances of women being sexually harassed and/or treated/paid unfairly and nothing was done about. I also believe there was a culture at Blizzard where a woman would feel less inclined to say anything.

This. Executives especially, but realistically any corporate role, don't have a standardized Government Salary pay-scale. You have to negotiate with them. Not anyone else's fault you sucked at it and missed out on a cool $1M a year that your peers got by being more aggressive.

There are a lot of jobs I would choose a woman over a man for, but game design isn't one of them. Not saying women can't make a game, but I'd be hard pressed to pick a game that was heavily influenced by a woman that I enjoy playing.

PS for cucks sake have you seen her resume? Mostly women's organization and of the game experience she was the head of a development company that brought us hits like Diablo 2 Resurrected (lol) Skylanders, and a Guitar hero expansion no one gives a fuck about.
