I actually prefer the middle ending out of all 3 (youtubed the 2 I didnt get)
I liked the 'submit' one the best.

Is there anything I cannot YouTube? Do I get trophies or something doing all 3?
Each one has a trophy, yes.

1. Backup save.
2. Start the final conversation, choose Submit, watch cutscene.
3. Quit game and restore save.
4. Start the final conversation, choose Refuse, fight boss, watch cutscene.
5. Quit game and restore save.
6. Eat the 3 cords, start the final conversation, choose Refuse, fight boss, die to bonus boss.
7. Do whatever you want (e.g. all the chalice dungeon stuff).
8. Kill bonus boss.

Reason for dying + step 8 is that the endings immediately push you into NG+. If you decide you need some levels to beat something in a chalice dungeon, it's much more convenient to be able to hop over to Mergo's and kill shadows & boars for a while.
(Vague spoilers for the process of getting the 3 endings, no names or any other details.)

To be honest there's no reason not to go into ng+ assuming you have everything from the main game. If you need echoes then the chalice dungeons themselves will beat out anything you can get until you are already in ng+

I don't think any chalice dungeon is even close to killing 9 shadows (all visceral) and 3 boars (1 visc., 2 regular) with heir/heir/moon equipped and then using a bold mark to reset it, especially now that repeating the same map has a vastly reduced load time in the new patch. Parrying shadows is trivial and requires pretty much no effort; collecting souls in a chalice requires finding a good farmable one without any really annoying mobs in it and keeping it around indefinitely.

If you're content with your level, only need to farm when you run out of bullets/blood potions, or are more concerned about farming specific gems that can drop from trash (can't think of any useful ones except if you're looking to exploit flat arcane damage and the rifle spear), then sure.

Back in my day we used to do NG+ for the fun of it.
That's really the only reason to do NG+. Nothing changes, and there's not really any strictly limited items that you absolutely need NG+x to get more of.

Pretty sure you can earn way more echoes farming lvl1 of Ailing Loran (beast men, werewolf, zerker chick) than you can from a non NG+ version of Shadows/Pigs.

I maaay have over leveled a bit with my new character on Rom. Buffed my Ludwigs with fire paper and killed him so fast he started porting as soon he was done summoning his spider pals. Then again when he finished materializing. Then he died within a couple seconds of me reaching him the third time. The fight literally took less than 15 seconds.

I'm pretty sure that nothing before ng+ gives you near the amount of some of the higher depth dungeons. Some had rooms of 7-8 rats that are pretty easy giving 5-6k echoes per, and single bigger mobs giving 10-15k per. There is usually less running and loading for most chalice dungeons too.

Even if where you said is more, I highly doubt it's significant enough to stop from finishing the game just to have a slightly better echo farm

Finished game last night, all 3 endings as well. Really enjoyed this game. I've not had a game for a while i played that kept me coming back for more. Can't wait for whatever FROM puts out next.

On a side note, in all the nightmare 'zones' there is a bell ringer that summons players in to kill you, how do you become that player, in the older FROM games faction joining would do it automatically, in this game, do you have to ring the red bell in that specific zone? I was never invaded in any 'zone' until the nightmare zones, curious as to how the game selects these folks or if they are part of a faction tha autosummons them.

hmm thought it would be more complex than that for some reason lol.
I assume you can do this in any zone? Unsure as i was never invaded anywhere except nightmare.

You can do it in any other zone yes, however...it sucks. It can take forever because people can kill the bell ringer it spawns when you ring it. Nightmare ones are the best because, as you said, the bell ringer is already there so you usually get insta invasions

I'd flip that around and say that finishing the game isn't significant enough for me to give up a trivially easy soul farm or access to upper cathedral/cainhurst castle for chunk farming (which is an extremely impractical grind prior to getting to sinister isz and being able to equip all 3 Eye runes). If I want to play the whole game again, I'll make a new character that focuses on arcane right from the start... or whatever.

Plus, you cankill the final final boss and still stay in NG.

I played through the game without reading anything or ever grouping, so I for sure have to play through it again to get that Platinum trophy.

If anyone wants to do some chalice dungeons or co-op an NG+ play-through, hit me up on Darphanderphus. I'm West Coast and work long hours, so you motherfuckers gotta be cool with playing at like midnight PST.

I'm hoping they patch chalice dungeon multiplayer to make it more intuitive and not disconnect after each boss, effectively making you do it twice.

Yeah hopefully the summoned player will just show up at the first lamp of whatever layer the beckoner is on. That'd be a simple fix.

Man going back to DS1/2 is so crazy since the combat is so fast in Bloodborne. I actually miss the BB combat when playing dark souls

FYI Demon Souls on sale on PSN for like $6.80 or something this week

Yeah, I was thinking of getting SotFS to play the DLC but I don't think I can ever go back to the old combat. Even Demon's Souls would be hard to enjoy after Bloodborne.

Kind of worried about it spoiling Witcher 3 for me as well, since TW3's combat looks to still be a poor imitation of the Souls games, just like TW2 was.

Exactly my fear, though some of the recent videos give me a bit of hope since it appears you can "lock on" to a target and get your dodge on like BB.

Thinking Im going to buy Witcher 3 before getting back into Dks2 to experience the DLC for the first time.....would hate to jump right in and end up disappointed, but From titles are must-buy-day-1 from now until they manage to screw it up inevitably
