So are any weapons inherently better than the rest, or is it all situational and play style?

Gonna take a lot of willpower to not skip the gym to get home and play

The lengths they have gone through to make co-op a fucking pain in this game is rediculous. Fuck grouping up with a few friends and have fun, oh no, grind bells and insights and shit, be at the same area and pray that you manage to connect.....

Great solo game, should not be labeled "co-op" with the current system.

If I went to the gym I'd use the rage you get from this game to fuel a supreme workout full of gainz
I'm not far enough to rage yet. I just beat father whatshisnuts last night before going to bed. Though I was pretty pissed when I got caught in some graves when trying to evade and then he beat me into the ground without me getting the chance to even move.

From what i've read, if you knock the guy off the edge, be sure to load your game back up to get his drop, it'll be on the edge where you knocked him off.

Man I just got back from 10 day vacation in st lucia, back in office this week and all I can think about is bailing to go play more of this. Great fucking game. Wish it was out on PCI though - frame rates and load time are only things sort of hampering my enjoyment atm

Any thoughts about leveling up and stat distribution here? I know how it worked with previous games, but don't want to go digging around the internet quite yet to try and spoil it... I was going pretty balanced between Vit / End / Skill, but then kind of abandoned it and hit End hard so now I'm at 17 Vit, 23 End, 20 Skill. No other points anywhere b/c I don't use Str weapons and don't rely to heavily on my 2nd weapon for the Bld points.

Guess it is on to the forest now, Amelia was crazy.

30 vit is the soft cap so push to that. Otherwise something like 20 end should be okay and push str/skill depending on your fav. weapon type. I believe bloodtinge has something to do with item discovery.

Well here is something interesting...I'll put a spoiler around it

After you kill BSB, there are some new guys in the world. They are big and carry a white sack on their back. One is found outside of the Cathedral Ward (right out from the lamp). Killed him a few times because he drops twin shards. Well, he got the better of me...and I woke up in a new area called the Unseen Village

Yeah the emote I got was strangely the same one that Elia the Crowe or whatever says to you when she kills you. The "tell the little Doll I said hello" thing.

BTW I haven't seen it mentioned, but I found Bloodborne's equivalent to crystal lizards. I don't know what they are called, but they're tiny four legged shadow beast things. Have only seen/killed one but they start running as soon as they see you and disappear shortly after. Dropped 3 blood upgrade mats.

Yeah this happened to me as well, and the area they take you to is like in the third tombstone back at Hunter's Dream, so its a pretty advanced area.

Well I played a little tonight, found the shortcut I was missing, left side from the starting bell...that opens up an entire new area. I reached the first boss, died...and leveled. I went exploring the new section I had missed, discovered the sewers, collected some Blood Echoes, and leveled to 16 and improved my weapon to +2.

I still have a little of the sewers to explore, but that will have to wait till tomorrow...and when I am done with that, I'll probably be able to level once or twice again and will go after the first boss and see how I fare.

Again, thanks for the hints about the hidden shortcut, helped a lot.

That one guy near the hunter's dream spot needs a cough drop something fierce.
