Imperial Assault got lots coming out for it later this year. Mini expansion with Tatooine locales in September plus more villains and hero packs. And then another expansion on the way, this one full blown with a campaign as big as the base set, this one with a Hoth setting.

I'm never going to run out of minis to paint if they keep this up.

anyone back Kingdom Death: Monster? I missed the kickstarter but its still currently on preorder saleKingdom Death: Monster Pre-order - Kingdom Death(some of the minis are nude and probably NSFW).

Can anyone sell me on this game? The minis are cool and the battle demo videos are interesting but i cant find much else for how the rest of the game works, the crafting system, the "ages" system etc.

That does look cool, first I'd seen it - any idea how the $275 late preorder compares to the Kickstarter? I'd imagine it includes a good hunk of the bonuses being nearly 3x the cost...?

Yea, at $100 it would be an immediate buy for me at this point how that description and video is tickling my fancy. At $275 I'm debating it though, just less impulse friendly.

I'm quite aware of that, just debating the value in $275 into a single game with X amount of play vs. $275 into many with Y amount of play.

The "boss rush" nature of it worries me for it being something that could be exciting for THAT long. I love everything else discussed with it - but man, I wish it had something more Brimstone/Descent style for the missions rather than a single enormous boss in a square arena.

Played Tides of Time and Xenoshyft this weekend. Both were really fun. Tides is a really good 2 player drafting game that lasts 5-10 minutes. Xenoshyft is a co-op deck builder.

Hi board game nerds.

I'm looking for a recommendation on some board games that have game-to-game persistency. The stuff you do in the first play through will carry over to the next and will carry over to the next etc.

You're basically asking for a board game with a campaign. Descent (2nd edition) and Imperial Assault do that.

With that Kingdom Death: Monster game (man, I wish I had managed to get into the KS), are the resin figures only for KS people? That pre-order looks like the hard plastic build-it-yourself sprue shit, which is vastly inferior from my experience. The resin figures would look fantastic, whereas the others would look... meh.
