Just to be clear the Obama administration has made this call and the Republicans are agreeing with it for all the wrong reasons.

What call? That they won't read him Miranda? That isn't taking away any of his constitutional rights, at least not more than they do fairly routinely to "normal" criminals in our justice system.

I never said it was. The administration is pursuing it like they are right now and the conservatives are saying it's the right move is all.

You seem to have this backwards, elected officials in the republican party have called for him to be treated like an enemy combatant and not treated like the US citizen he is. There has been no authorization of this request to be granted, if it is granted it will be Obama's call and if he does agree with the republicans on this then he can go fuck himself. As far as the miranda rights go there is good reason for this or at least appears to be good reasons in that we need to know if he was part of a bigger cell etc etc etc.
This isn't one of your normal conversations on this board, you can't put words into Obama's mouth and then argue he has made these actions when it's clearly not the case.

I think the biggest issue is a gross misunderstanding of what not reading him the Miranda rights actually means. It just means they didn't verbally read him his rights and ask for the nod of understanding. A lot of people, particularly the idiots on Facebook, are making it out to be like his fifth amendment rights were denied/revoked.
