Where do you live Mist? Don't you have any family or friends that can help you?

I don't know the extent of your water damage, but replacing the drywall on the lower half of the walls isn't a terribly difficult or expensive thing to do. There are 100's of videos online showing exactly how to do this stuff yourself, which makes the process pretty economical. It's not like you have to fix the entire house at once.. just do it one room at a time as you get money.

I've been out of EVE for a long time, WAY too time consuming, but I make over 1000 dollars extra a month from my MTGO card business. Plus 2 jobs, one at school and one off, and school and taking care of my mom full time as well. She's not just disabled, she's also mentally ill so dealing with her is very difficult, not withstanding dealing with her doctors and the lawyer for the house and the insurance company.

I've put thousands of hours worth of work into the house to make it relatively livable. My stepdad took a hard fall during the first week of the cleanup from the original flood and hasn't been around to help with any of the damages from Irene, Sandy or all of the shit during Nemo, and he took off completely last summer to take care of his dad and hasn't been back since his dad passed. Southern Rhode Island is just really fucked, no economic activity at all and 4 major natural disasters in 4 years. I want to leave badly but my mom has too many ties with her doctors and shit around here, and I'm afraid to leave 2 jobs and transfer to another school because I might not find a better deal somewhere else. The rest of my extended family is either useless or crazy or has their own problems.

I literally don't have the time or the energy. I finally finished redoing the bathroom drywall, floor and wall tiles, toilet and fixtures and getting it fully handicap accessible with railings last month and was in absolute unbearable pain for weeks on end afterwards. Apparently living in a moldy, soggy house is a great way to develop arthritis.

more news is that he was officially charged but the complaint is under seal until his first court appearance.

Been reading snippets here and there that he is communicating via writing but obviously there is no indication of what he is saying.

And concerning Mist's argument, there are probably 5-10% (a bullshit number obviously but there has to be some truth to it) people incarcerated right now in US jails that absolutely dont give a fuck and would probably rather be in prison than on the street. 3 squares, no responsibilities besides upholding your jail swag. Dudes commit crimes when they are jonesn just so they CAN get locked up and have a place to stay etc. Its retarded for sure, but these types do exist.
