ScannerSome guy on CNN just said they stripped the suspect completely before putting him in the car.
Where did you hear about shots fired at mass general?
I'd probably want to make sure a proven bombmaker had absolutely nothing on him before stuffing him in the back of my patrol car, heh. Hopefully they'll take them both without anyone else getting killed. Definitely seems like a nothing to lose situation with these guys. Some guy on CNN just said they stripped the suspect completely before putting him in the car.
That guy looks pretty white. Was he just an unfortunate person in the area or was he arrested?Screen cap from the local news.
Agreed. Just thought it was an interesting bit of information.I'd probably want to make sure a proven bombmaker had absolutely nothing on him before stuffing him in the back of my patrol car, heh. I had a family member who I told to turn that scanner thing on compare it to "It's like a Die Hard movie going on or some shit".This is nuts. If this is coordinated it's like counter strike real life edition
It isn't just CNN. It is news in general. 5-10 years CNN/FOX and such will be extinct. People get their news from people more and more and with everyone in the world having video/mic recording capabilities on their phone it'll only get worse as time goes on.One thing is clear. CNN has no fucking idea what's going on.
People still want the nice HD video and commentary though. They'll be around with cameras and pundits, but the actual news will be dead (if it isn't already). It isn't just CNN. I was curious as well so looked up some articles.I've been wondering this ever since the Marathon...why don't police forces use encrypted radios when shit like this is going down? Like you can't buy a scanner at Walmart and listen to the Secret Service - why don't police forces have similar equipment? Surely the big city forces like Boston would have the resources, at least.
here it all went digital encrypted 7-8 yrs ago, the price was big, has to be tons cheaper all these years later. scanners are worthless here now.I've been wondering this ever since the Marathon...why don't police forces use encrypted radios when shit like this is going down? Ya I can just see down the line a app for that. Look how things have changed just in the past 5 years. In 5 from now, you may be walking down the street, have your phone buzz, activate screen to see 50 people near by discussing a robbery down the street in real time. When not if it becomes like that, news in general will be history, just a recap of webpages that report it faster and better than any network.People still want the nice HD video and commentary though.
