How would you even do a sequel to Munchausen? That movie even manages to make Uma Thurman look good. That movie is straight up art.

Sure lots of films are called "art films", but c'mon... those are usually just drug laced piles of pretty pseudosentimental vomit (i'm looking at you Melancholia). And it takes more than a Tim Burton film too, while those still do get credit for an impressive visual spectacle.

The entirety of Munchausen was spectacle. "Ah, Beautiful Ladies." and "The Turk was never at the Gate". How could you top it, and why would you want to?

It really is too bad that it flopped, but it's great that it was made.
