Ward was kinda teeing off on Kovalev's dick toward the last 2 or so rounds of the fight, but a lot of the "low" stuff early on was just good body work by Ward.

That said, I have zero fucking clue why the referee stopped the fight. I understand if he thought the shots were legal, but what the fuck was the point of the stoppage?

Yeah Ward definitely landed some low stuff, although Sergey usually wears his trunks really high. Tony Weeks definitely should've let Kovalev go out on his own. That being said Ward just really brought it, it was surprising and impressive. Kovalev is such a killer in the ring (literally has killed someone), and Ward just bullied the bully. That right hand he landed on Kovalev that really hurt him & buckled him was surprising.

I think it's fair to say he's the best boxer alive right this second, he really cemented something special with that win. Even if it was premature. I don't think it makes much difference, Kovalev looked beat.

Shot of that perfect right hand he caught him with on the way to the stoppage.

Ps. Adonis Stevenson has started the calling out process of Ward. I'd love to see him wax Chickenson and unify that division. He deserves it.

Yeah no he definitely landed some low stuff late. No disputing that. I still think Kovalev was done though, from that right-straight just before this. I can only bring my own experience of being punched in the dick in sparring, and it sucks but it varies. Non-cup shots are usually worse. But I'm not gonna act like I have any idea how fucking bad it would hurt to be punched by a world class fighter like Ward.

I thought Kovalev should have at least been given an eight-count even if Weeks didn't see the low blows.

The whole end of that fight confused me. The ruling was way different than the scorecard on tv. It also seems like they stopped the fight 8 seconds early. I guess the clock was just off. Unanimous by the judges though. I caught the last 4 rounds and they were pretty good. I enjoyed it quite a bit . The commentator was pretty upset by the results.

Atlas and Steven A are dumb fucks. I think Pac won but not by much. I think the 10-8 round wins it for Pac. To think the fight was so lopsided that they can't understand why Horn won is mind boggling.

I hate when people go to the punches landed bullshit. If you land 50 punches in 1 round you still only win 1 round. Anyone that uses fight metrics to base their logic on the win is a moron aka Steven A.

Right my perspective was you make an argument for 6 rounds to pac, and the 9th round gives him the fight. Pac didn't win a gimmie 7. He won a gimmie 6.

Horn brought the heat albeit extremely dirty and unprofessional. Shame on the announcers for not giving it a mention. Head-lock dragging is some dirty shit. In the early rounds after he landed a big right he even head-locked and tried to trip Pac to the ground (I guess he thought Pac was rocked enough to fall down). Overall hes a scumbag and Pac's expression said it all during the fight.

Compubox is never accurate. It's an awful fraud. That being said I definitely did not have Horn winning. Had it 117-111 for Pacquiao. Throw that rematch on ESPN, it will do solid business. Horn really impressed me, dude fights very awkwardly.

It's really nice to see ESPN investing in some boxing. Lomachenko August 5th on ESPN & a really nice Crawford unification fight August 19th.

Yeah really solid card.

Really good fight to watch before UFC's stuff starts kicking off tonight. Think Broner will bring it, to some degree, but I have Garcia in a UD.

Washington (Wilder's last victim) vs. Big Baby Miller (ex Glory guy, who actually has some boxing talent) right now
