That's the problem I'm going to have to deal with at some point, when to replace those 2. My current main squad is Deimos(G) lead, Claire(G), Colt(A), Aaron(B), and Ruby(G). I''ll probably replace Aaron with Edea(A) and Ruby with Tridon(B), but I have no obvious replacements for Claire and Colt. It will be especially hard for Claire since Fei & Fang is my only other spark buffer and I don't see that getting a 7* any time soon.

I honestly don't want a Bestie for her LS. It's great, but as you said the competition is too fierce. She doesn't need her LS to provide absurd BB replenish, though. LS is disabled throughout Trial 5 but with her I had no trouble bursting through the Glorious phases even though I was using units like Loch that Deimos that really aren't fill-friendly (remember ls disabled) . I would just Fujin Bestie and everybody would be SBB-ready in short order.

To elaborate - with bestie I'd probably be able to change my squad completely. I'd use a Colt or Reis friend, drop Deimos lead - he'd still be at like 19k hp - and try Dion or return to Raaga. I'd need to do something about ailments, but with, for example, Raaga, Reis, Bestie, and Deimos I'd with four units have almost as many bases covered as I do now. Or I could swap Raaga for Claire, use her as sub, and try Dion as lead and either keep Reis friend or switch to Zenia.

This is why I am a lot more grateful for Deimos than I was originally. Status null is a complication when he's a sub, but he's just meta as fuck regardless because his presence in a squad - even as a sub - fundamentally transforms the way you play by letting you get away with shit you otherwise couldn't. Bestie as a sub is the same way from what I've seen. When I used her in trial 5, even without her LS, BB management was simple.

My Feeva died in her crib because of that and my max imp'd Griel is pretty much dead now too it seems. As a sub Tridon annihilates Griel simply by tagging on that +30% BC/HC to the end of that list of everything else he does. Deimos annihilates Griel as a leader. Tridon is also making Elimo not nearly so Meta as she used to be. If you don't need Elimo's +140% Defense buff, and passive healing is enough then suddenly a mitigator that doesn't attack looks like a pretty horrible deal. (Not to mention that if you do need it, Tridon has a Heal-over-Time on his BB anyway that you can rotate in without even sacrificing the elemental shield.) I don't think Global will ever see Elimo rise to the heights she did in JPBF just because of Tridon.

Units doing 2-3 jobs each and overlapping left and right is killing more units than Xei'Jings trial is.

Once I was really looking forward to Will's 7-star, but I might have all those bases already covered by the time he is released.

Did the second one of those today. If ever there existed a testament to powercreep in this game, it can be found in squaring new units against The Crimson Terror. Was an utter joke after I dealt with Phoenix.

This'll be the last season where I don't take FH seriously. I've always just loaded up my units with the highest hitcounts and hope to break 10k. This morning I actually started paying attention to the bonuses.

First red flag: elemental weakness damage. Solution: friend Quaid, pop his Sbb first. (And by next season I'll have leveled my Quaid). Substantial increase in score.
Next up: Overkills. Solution: Dion lead. Pop his bb (crit rate) right after Quaid's. With his lead and crit rate up, shit dies infinitely faster. Solution 2: Add Loch, Pop his SBB before Quaid, try to get better at the timing and have it hit right after Dion's bb starts. I suck at this.

Score in mid went from 1 to 2.5 million. I'll experiment more later. If I plateau I'll look up how to get more points, but it's really fun to just tinker. I imagine once I get Quaid ready a better friend unit would be Kira to cover all weaknesses.

God damn, I missed the legwand by 100k... looks like I'll have to go through that. I've been farming end for the points because I wanted to get more than +1 rank this time (maybe I can get +3).

I'm still lazy man farming the terminus with my feeva, shida, lario, shera, exhvel squad with a rosetta/xenia/raaga friend. As long as I use most of my orbs I float between the 1.8k to 3k ranks, so +4 hr each time.

Oof, don't use Elimo. That's a slot that isn't getting any hit, spark, elemental etc bonus. You have a Darvanshel, right? Use him. Shera if you have her. Would definitely use Kira lead of the listed units as long as your friend unit has bb fill under control. Those should. I don't think Lava is doing you many favors, either. Especially if you have a Zenia friend available.

Bb spam and items should cover heal and ailments. Or bb spam heals like Ivris or Ulkina.

Ishad, does a Dion lead synergize with Quaid like I think it would if I have a thunder and earth party? Like Dion, Quaid, Deimos, Loch, FUCKING GIMME EDEA, etc? Would all of those attacks on non-light/dark benefit from Dion's LS?

No. +elemental weakness only benefits the units base type. So loch would do normal damage on a dark unit, regular weakness damage against a fire unit, and buffed elemental damage against a water unit.

Edit: still a pretty potent combo, though. Loch getting massive crit damage bonus with a regular elemental weakness modifier.

Darvanshel, Oulu, Elimo, Narza... No shera and no idea who else does mitigation. So I'll sub out Elimo for Darvanshel.

What do you mean by elemental buffers?
Adds elements to every attack (Shida, Orna, Fiora) or increases weak element? Maxwell/Kira at lead... not sure who else does similar.

Okay you have shida. Here is your frontier hunter strat until the end of time: put shida on your team, fill team with high hit count units, at the beginning of first turn of each floor in the terminus cast shida sbb, sbb with only enough units so you don't 1 turn kill any enemies, kill everyone on turn 2 using shida's bb if you are lazy like me, wait until turn 3 if you want to maximize points. No level should take more then three rounds.

Your team should have, shida, darvanshel, lario as staples. Add exhvel if you have him for status null. otherwise lead griel. Elza fills in the 5th slot assuming you have no feeva or ruby.

Elemental weakness damage is king of fh points. Weak + sparks+ 3 turn kill bonus= collect fh ranks. Mid farming is popular right now, but it has been nerfed in jp.
