The point is that it isn't about sexism. It was all based on practicality of something has to get plowed first and that is what they do.
Have you ever worked an essential service job like a nurse? Guess what happens when it snows so bad the roads are blocked? You work extra until your road is cleared ... and you get mandatory overtime for it most places if not all of them. Single mothers should be thrilled. Guess what social Europe does? They have daycares at work or probably pay you for schedules hours even though you couldn't make it on time.

Also Europe is different. In America we just shut everything the fuck down that isn't essential in most of the country when it snows like that. Those snowfucked northern European countries aren't like that.
I was just going by what the text of the articles says. It says they were overlooking plowing certain areas, and when they stopped doing that, there were positive results.

What Mist is conveniently ignoring is that it is even more sexist to say that men drive on roads to work and women are homemakers restricted to walking their child to daycare so therefore plowing roads is sexist. By stating that roads are dominated by workers (men) so they must first plow sidewalks, you are supporting sexism and the traditional gender roles instead of empowering women to use the roads to drop their kids off.
You literally cannot win with these feminists, because they want polar opposites to both be true at the same time. A) I'm not a feminist, because feminists used words like 'rape culture' that actually do more harm than good by spreading the blame from individuals to the society at large, which is exactly what the rapists want.
B) Yes, the article could be seen as sexist, but maybe there's something going on in Stockholm where women walk more than men in bad weather. Maybe families normally only have 1 vehicle, like a truck, that's capable of driving in bad weather, and the man normally uses it, meaning more women are walking. This doesn't sound unbelievable. I don't really know a lot about northern European cities and their pedestrian traffic so I just assumed the article knew what it was talking about.
