I didn't "invent sweeping cultural narratives out of thin air based solely on my feelings", you dolt. What makes one culture different from another? How did they get that way? Sure, in a global sense access to resources and rate of socioeconomic development play their roles, but on an individual basis the way you think is formed and shaped by what you see and hear (and, to a lesser extent, smell, taste and feel) every day. This isn't fucking rocket science. Yes, chemicals can have an effect on how you think, but they just "tweak" what's already there. The development of thought processes and the formation and reinforcement of neural pathways don't occur by having LSD sprayed in your face. They occur through constant exposure to stimuli. Where does that stimuli come from? From our surroundings, up to and including people we speak to, movies, literature, video games, commercials, music, and any other product of our culture. Sure, individually we each develop differently due both to differing inherent genetic traits and the uniqueness of what we are exposed to, but this "cultural pool" of stimuli we draw from often has observable and definable traits across the board that we will be exposed to whether or not we choose to be. Why is it so difficult to understand that this has an effect on how we think? How could it possibly not? Why do you think in English? Because that was the default language wired into your brain at birth? Because you had "English-flavored" LSD sprayed in you face as a baby? Where else could it come from? Spiritual intervention? Come on, man, go ahead and call me arrogant, but that's far better than being ignorant, you obtuse little twat.
