if there's no races then why are they on government census forms? why are we checking off boxes and weighting decisions of people based on their race? what does the government mean by using race. You can't call someone retarded for using a term the government uses when they make a myriad of decisions based off race then chastise a person telling them it doesn't exist. He can have retarded ideas about it but he's not any worse acknowledging it's presence than the government is.

Different races have different types of hair, different skin color, different face structure, and different body types. They are also affected by some medications differently, and sometimes are affected disproportionately by different medical conditions.

Are those social constructs?

No one is agreeing with seananigans. Obviously he is insane. But there are obvious physical differences that warrant a term to describe them.

Because that stuff is made up by statisticians and sociologists.

"Race" exists as a social construct, but it has no biological or genetic basis. There's no place to draw a line where one race starts or ends on the spectrum of expressed genetics. Any given person can have any mix of those expressed phenotypes.

If "Race" had a biological basis, when a white and a black mated, the child would either have almost ALL black facial+skin+hair features or almost ALL white facial+skin+hair features, rather than some mix along all those categories like we see in reality.

Again, these differences may seem great but when you look at it from a genetic perspective there is zero evidence of "race" just selective traits based on geography. The difference in genes is miniscule.

If color and sound didn't have profound effects on humans we wouldn't be so fascinated by music and art, the differences are only skin deep but that's all it takes to set off the lizard part of the brain, and I don't foresee human beings rewiring that part of their brain anytime soon.
