- Degrade to the status of a mere object.Judge, sure, but I don't think you know what the word objectify means.
Posting their faces would constitute a derail. It's not even up for debate, especially here of all places; this is a forum where there's 2 entire threads devoted to pictures of women's butts and buttholes, largely sans faces.
As opposed to the three threads devoted largely to how you fail at managing life, your mother, and soulless tech jobs? Also largely sans pics of faces in those threads (or buttholes, or flat-as-boards titties).Men don't notice how much they objectify women because men objectifyeverything. The propensity for men to objectify things is just side effect of their neurobiology. So you're just complaining about men being men?Men don't notice how much they objectify women because men objectifyeverything. As far as I can tell, there is nothing wrong with it.I don't even get whats wrong with wanting to look at specific body parts, if thats what you're into.
I'm not ascribing values to any of those behaviors, just clarifying the point about objectification versus judgment.I don't even get whatswrongwith wanting to look at specific body parts, if thats what you're into.
Whats the difference? For instance, women will be like "I wish I had her boobs" or "She has no hips, gross" where men will be like "I want to motorboat those boobs" or "I want to wreck that asshole."
That's actual reality, judgement exists only as a concept in your brains, objects exist in reality. The word reducing is wrongly used here, there is no reduction, it's an addition to reality in your own mind.(more accurately, reducing something to object values)
Sounds to me like you don't know what objectify means. It means you treat a person as an object... not apictureof a person (object), or avideoof a person (object), or acharacterin a story (object), or adigital puppetthat looks like a person (also an object). You can't objectify something that is already an object.Men don't notice how much they objectify women because men objectifyeverything. Firstly, you're conflating objectification with dehumanization. Objectification is an intermediate step towards dehumanization.Sounds to me like you don't know what objectify means.
