All the candidates are terrible. It's not just the female candidates. Do you think the average guy is super enthusiastic about Harry Reid or whoever else the fuck? No.
Of course all the candidates are terrible. But that doesn't mean that
"Which candidate is not terrible? Oh, they're all terrible? Then which candidate has the same genitalia as me?"
is how people decide who to vote for.

People vote for who they believe to be the lesser of all evils, generally based on whether or not there is any overlap at all between a politician's views and a voter's. Yes, it's a horrifically shitty system where everybody except the rich get screwed. It's still extremely possible that a woman would prefer to vote for a man who she believes has at least some of her own interests at heart rather than a woman who's clearly a brainless puppet who shares none of her values.

I know. So why did you link that data at all?
Because it shows just how gender slanted the proportions of the richest donors are. One could easily extrapolate back from that to primary and pre-primary donations.

It also shows slants by party. It's also for all elections in that cycle, not just the general election.

It's not conclusive, but it definitely is data that helps support my hypothesis and helps reject my null hypothesis.

It's not data that supports your hypothesis. It's not even relevant to your hypothesis. I can't figure out why you think it is.

Has anyone considered that women just suck as leaders and politicians?

My hypothesis that a handful of rich donors get to choose who gets to run. My data showed that most of the richest donors are male. It also showed that when the donors are less slanted, you get better female candidates, see the Democratic donations.

You're right that I didn't show that rich men are biased against women. That data is going to have to be be more qualitative than quantitative, by it's very nature. If you've ever dealt with rich men, you'd know that most of them treat all women as whores.

25% would be fucking great. That'd be a 40% improvement over 18%.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but a pretty significant number of the current female MP's were accidental. Basically the NDP ran a shitload of on-paper-only candidates in ridings in Quebec in the last Federal election because they had next to no grassroots party system. But then out of the blue, apparently because the voters of Quebec are fickle as all fuck, an "orange wave" swept the province and bam chicks like Ruth Ellen Brosseau got elected:Ruth Ellen Brosseau - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Good for her though, apparently she's been busting her ass to learn French (that she couldn't speak passable French was almost as hilarious as her having spent a week of the campaign partying in Vegas) and be a good MP. She's also reasonably hot. But we'll see if she and many of the others get re-elected (the hotness will help!). The other thing to consider is that I'm pretty sure both the Liberals and NDP have targets for female representation for their candidates in elections, if not for their actual MP's. What they are exactly and how the mechanisms work, I don't know. So comparing female representation between Canada and the US isn't exactly apples to apples.

Obvious shit is obvious. This sounds like those people who need a scientific study to tell whether drinking makes you worse at driving.
There were actually scientific performed that showed that precisely. So if someone doesn't want to believe your opinion that drinking and driving are bad, you can show them the study. If they still after don't want to believe, or if another day has risen. Then you just forget about them because they are stupid.

I especially liked the part where people railed for pages about the ''pussification'' of the new generation and how men are enslaved by the whims and mores of the feminist movement....then went on about the infantilization of women and their inability to take responsibility for their own actions.

I'm not sure exactly who you're deriding, I haven't parsed this yet, but I support you 1000%.

No that's not a typo. I put an extra zero in there on purpose.

Canada. Where women get elected by accident.

I don't have a problem with women that get elected to public office, though I'm not sure why we'd need an electorate to appoint laundry staff.
