Biggest issue with Simon is if they use the games as a basis, he doesn't really have a supporting cast.

Simon could work as a flashbacksor a bottle episode, but the original show's success was mostly due to the fact it had a good cast of characters. Sure, you could create a ton of made up characters, but why when you can just use existing ones and use a different setting. Fast forwarding to the Rondo/SoTN era works best since it lets them reuse Alucard (to help connect the two shows), still includes a Belmont, and the era the show takes place in helps the show feel a bit different. We've gone from middle ages to the late 1700s, so you've got things like firearms and the French Revolution still going on and the American Revolution not that far in the past, so Europe is in this sort of turbulent time.

I want a 1999 battle- game or show. I liked Aria of Sorrow and its cash grab remake... Err sequel Dawn of Sorrow

SOtN the game should have been Dracula's final self powered resurrection after Alucard forces Dracula to understand his war on humans is not what Lisa would have wanted him to do.

So it would be interesting to see what happened in 1999 to bring back a fully pissed off Dracula.

I can't see them doing a "Dracula is evil again" unless they have a really solid plan for it. However, given the fact there is still a world around, I would have to presume that Dracula lived his life with Lisa and when she died, he basically put himself into an extended slumber? Or something else. I suppose it depends if they ever got around to letting Alucard know they were alive. The last show left off with them more or less saying they wouldn't tell Alucard for now because the poor dude had already been emotionally fucked up by all this enough.

Really excited about this show. Will watch during the week-end or wait to watch with my teen.

It is a Richter Belmont Origin story and I am so tired of origin stories. Literally last 5 minutes I got into it then it was over.

I enjoyed it about as much as any other season really. Oddly enough id forgotten all about homie till he showed up at the end there, and i was half expecting a certain someone to come through that open portal but no dice.

The older seasons / episodes were mostly fine. I was exhausted yesterday, so sat down and binged the first half of this season. More black slavery shit, but ramped up 10x through the entire fucking first half. Black chick the most powerful person on the show now, not the Belmonts (not surprised). Aztec Vampire was a faggot, YET EVEN GOOGLE SAYS THEY WERE EXTREMELY INTOLERANT OF IT - along with a fucking Templar equivalent being a faggot which had the same fucking intolerance. The constant jabs at the church, its pedophilia and summoning of demons. The revolutionaries getting their shit pointed out as "You burn it all down, then what? Whos left to rebuild?" was probably the best part about that whole subject. Never mind the overarching push to make all rich people, or even those with slight power, be evil, corrupt Vampires. /yawn

Shows watchable - but, just like Gen V, its just filled to the brim with this shit and Im just so over it. Aztec dude seemed powerful, brilliant, and ancient - until they made him a faggot, and then cucked him to the messiah or w/e. The fight with Belmonts mom made him seem incredibly powerful. Then hes floating around as a fog/smoke, doing magic, and more. Except for the impenetrable force field the queen bitch has, I dont even know whats so special about her. I hope fucking fucking wipes the floor with all of them.

Anyone who watched the trailer knew this was coming. Shame because I really liked the first arc of seasons

The animation is an upgrade I think.

But the script this season is ROUGH at best. offensively bad at worst.

for example starts off with "we've been seeing more vampires lately, like 2-3 a month". then literally one day later we are shown that the ENHTIRE FUCKING French Aristocracy is vampires. ALL of them. Also, half the Church is also vampires, and the other half is 100% in league with the vampires...
So, 2/3rds of the power structure in France are vampires, and 99% of the power is held by vampires, but you were only seeing 2-3 a month? the fuck?

pacing and script is shit. characters are shit.
like, the breaking into song parts with the singer. like, I get its part of his character, but having him bust out that first song and breaking up the pacing of the scene to showcase it was way too early.
establishing demon hosts are still in the bodies was a bad move script wise.


this series makes a huge mistake in tieing the Vampires to the aristocracy, and the church. It was bad enough in the first series.. but this one breaks the world.
How does the Church exist? How does the Church survive taking part in a vampire take over of a country? The black eye it should have received from the FIRST season, should have killed it. Muslim crusades would have taken over Europe.

Dracula and the vampires being secluded cults that can be taken on by 1 man makes way more sense. Sure even that would be alt history world changing events. but not THIS insanity.

After watching the entire series tonight, there better be a Season 2 after that ending.

Vampires ruling the Church makes sense if you think about it in the context of the time period. It's a tool of control of the masses and the Church is given a certain level of protection in terms of prying eyes. You neutralize an antagonizing entity and reap the rewards of its infrastructure.
