I think I understood the wolve kiting on our last attempt. It looks like they are slowable which would help. I do apologize for my shitty performance, I know I dragged the wolf cutter through the raid at least once in a panic and died once not responding fast enough.

As far as beast guy goes, it's really about not fucking up. I ran out of mana when we got to lust point and I think the other healers did too. It kind of goes from not much damage to shit tons quickly so any extra pins or standing in shit makes it go bad quickly. Of course more dps would always help but it wasn't absolutely necessary if executed well. I'll try to fit in some H hm pugs to see if I can improve gear wise before next week.
I actually laughed out loud when that wolf was kited right into the melee group haha. That's a fairly difficult boss and requires no one really fucking up. You can actually easily kite him if you run up towards the boss and then just keep walking in the semi circle from the boss then backing up and going the other direction, if that makes any sense.

I think we had Beast on the next pull but too many people were going to be leaving. I'm pugging every boss that I can this week so I am better prepared for next week.

I do think we need higher DPS/HPS - but part of that is learning the fights and not being 100% sure what to do. If we can get a HM Heroic run going some point this week that would be nice.

It was a good learning experience, I just hope next week we can do more.

On one of the videos I watched it looks they drug the boss over to one side of the room and the raid and wolves would be on the outside (the side with the most space) and that would ensure the cutter didn't cross the raid. If that makes sense.

bout to hit 100 on this godamn priest, priest leveling is still awful even as shadow, compared to the hunter lock I played to 95

So how does arena work, last time I played you pvpd for a week got a certain rating and points based on that, I see you get 180 conquest per win, but then I see something when I hover over 2v2/3v3 etc it says projected cap 1500, does that mean I can only get 1500 a week from arena?

And I can get up to 10k in ashran?

Kills Hans and Franz on heroic and they were a joke too. I co-tanked with a Monk and they fucking cheat on that fight so bad. They can negate all the damage I'm pretty sure with guard and whatever other bullshit tricks they have.

Got guantlet upgrades and a bonus roll ring. Rocking 668 now. Me and Poid got tanking on lockdown.

I'm feeling a little less depressed after eating my Depression King meal on saturday. I'm still mega pumped to raid BRF, and Moord said it was contagious so I'm keeping that shit up. As usual I'm going to spend all week updating my notes and watching strategy videos to better aid us. I'm also pugging every boss I can (and Poid is as well), so hopefully between the two of us we'll have experience with 8-10 of the bosses for this upcoming saturday.

Since BRF is quite a bit harder than HM we're going to have to examine numbers if we run into problems again. There was at least one fight where I was above a healer in HPS, and I don't like that. I know I do a ton of healing, but I really shouldn't be pulling ahead. Also maybe we can find a time-slot where the saturday group can run a heroic HM to get alternate gear (that is better than BRF normal gear). Also hoping our carry DPS comes on this saturday

Again I'm sorry I had to miss Saturday. I'm not raiding at all on my paladin outside of the Sat run.

Should be able to make it next week.

I now fully understand the wolf kiting thing. It would be very helpful to pick a side that wolf tank will be on so that ranged can stay on that side. My mistake was being on the wrong side so it caused the cutter to be perpendicular to the raid where as if I was on the right side it would be parallel.

Not sure if I was the low healer on said fight, but I'll be honest, I haven't mained heals in 4+ weeks so I was feeling rusty - especially having to deal with new mechanics on the flamebender fight. Not an excuse, just putting it out there. I thought Beastlord was going ok, it was just a mana efficiency issue due to it going from 1 to 100 right there at the end. I'll be watching videos all week and trying to fit in an HM pug for healing gear upgrades before saturday. Godspeed you black emporers.

I would set it up something like this:
wolves.png

Melee is on the big one cleaving the boss, ranged are on the little one to keep the hp balanced. Tanks need to switch when the wolves do, and if the debuff gets to 3 you'll probably want to use a cooldown. Preferably not AMS though, save that for Firestorm.

The wolves and the beam are the easy part anyway; the tricky part is making sure that Molten Torrent still hits enough people during the wolf phase. It's doubly annoying if the kiter gets targeted with it, which I'm pretty sure I saw happen at least once the other day. The kiter should try to avoid the beam but can run through it really fast if they have to, one stack does little damage even on heroic. You just don't want to let the wolf catch up to you.

I would gladly help set up a heroic hm for Saturday, but I can't do it until the evening, at around 8est, and I don't know how many people would want to raid Saturday night. Not everyone is a boring parent like me who doesn't go out.

The Friday catch up/alt raid will eventually go to heroic, but we are a few weeks away from that at least.

Nah man heals on average were fine, and you're doing good. Like I said, some of it is due to unfamiliarity with the fights and some of it is because BRF overall is much harder than HM.

We actually did fine on the wolves on a few attempts (38% best).

Don't forget, Mages can Ice block the meteor, hunters can deterrence, I think another class can nullify it as well.

We can try this strategy for the wolves too, instead of putting them facing the furnace bring them up front and face away from dps.

Yeah, I ice blocked the first I had, and used greater invisibility on the second(90% dmg reduction).

No reason to use so much of the room all the time unless you have a ~30 man raid. 7 yds isn't that far, you can still keep all the ranged on one side in a normal-size group. That way you're not dropping lava slashes and weapons all over the place and forcing people kiting and dropping meteors to run through/around that stuff all the time.

Also, they got the wolf timer wrong. They have to be killed within 8 seconds of each other, not 15.

Bottom line, it's one of the easier fights in the zone. It's just a mechanics fight with a moderate healer gear check; no need to overcomplicate it.

Yeah I already killed it in a pug. It's fairly easy. I found Iron Maidens easy as well but it's much like butcher where I am able to basically spam DS the entire fight and blow away the healing meters.

I received an in game mail from my guild leader bitching that I owe the guild bank 318 gold for using repairs outside of raid time.

Guild repairs were turned off all tues/wed raid days and I put 20k in the bank two weeks ago.

318 gold.
