Sniping SS on Oregorger is pretty clever, as is leaving for a new box at ~10% just like we would any add. I did it that way on our normal fuck-around run but then I also worried a lot less about getting ran over, heh. But I don't run FS on that fight so it's harder to compare. I'm pretty sure we'd have been even if I had done those things as you said.
The huge gap on Operator I'm not so worried about. I focused on maintaining a single target rotation with secondary aoe on firemender/man at arms adds because I felt they were being left up too long, wheras he focused on pure aoe meter maxing at all times. It adds up to dead boss either way, and it's good to have people doing both. The boss died before that last difficult double add wave so we were doing something right. Plus that was just an unusual run for me to even be under 40k at all. That's the downside of survival - you don't want to focus anything that is going to die quickly. So I was working against my classes strength there.
But what bugs me are the fights where we run identical specs and he gets off like 47 CPM to my upper 30s. (using the WCL pin from the google doc, fyi) I mean, fucking SimC only hits like 50 on patchwerk. Dude is just a machine. But at least I learned that my shot rhythm is wasting significant GCD time from investigating this so maybe I can close the gap some and get gooder. The bad thing is now I find myself mashing every half second like its fucking Rift.
It's humbling, heh. But it keeps things interesting - it's been a while since I had any reason to give a shit. And this is -nowhere- as frustrating as min/maxing Mage was.
All classes should punish you less for missing globals like the way rogue works, imo. Because we're too old for this shit.
