I just figured we have plenty who still need the drops, but the Friday catch up won't be ready for heroic for a couple weeks. Outside of Kargath and maybe twins.

Thinking of trying to organize a heroic HM for Saturday night at 8 or 9 est. Anyone interested in something like that?
what ilvl? im at 649 right now did heroic kargath last night didn't have an issue healing.

disc priest im down to go, im hoping to get at least 1 more piece to bump me over 650, before Saturdays raid, ill definitely have 650+ next week

I'm not overly concerned with ilvl to be honest. I'll probably set it for like 645. I am more concerned with actual performance. ~20k dps and ~25-30k hps is what we need. That won't get us Imp, but it would be fine for 6/7, as long as we had no carries.

I just think the average ilvl of our Saturday raid is a bit low for a fair amount of n brf, so we need to get it higher. I know many are tired of hm, but it may be necessary for better success in brf. I'll throw something on the calendar and see what kind of interest we get. I am fine to pug a couple ppl, but have little interest in having to pug a large number.

If only Kargath was the measuring stick for the zone.. I'd say if you can heal through Normal Imp you're good to go

Haven't had much time to play so I'm still like shitty gears. I need to really get some cq stuff. I missed my Lfr last week since my son was born.

Monk healing is kind of lame. I feel like I don't have a lot of tools. Maybe it's my gear that makes a lot of my heals outside the main 3 feel meh.

I wish I could play a disc priest. Loved the back in the day.

Back in the day Atonement healing was viable. That's dead now, so Disc is like 70-75% PW:S, 15% passive procs, 5% L90 talent. The only Atonement healing you do is casting PW:Solace every 10 seconds for the 2% mana return.

My Holy Paladin feels clunky and I am almost always behind the Disc Priest/Resto Druid. Looking forward to this week's Friday normal to see if I do any better, but if any Paladin healers have some advice I'm all ears. I don't have the Rerolled logs link at work to post, and honestly that was my first time Paladin healing so I was making a lot of mistakes.

I use Holy Shock as much as possible on cooldown to build Holy Power. For tanks I use Holy Light (slow, cheap heal) mostly, and Flash of Light on raid members.
I keep Sacred Shield up on both tanks and usually myself or when I remember someone taking damage.
Beacon of Light/Faith on both tanks.
I spend my 5 Holy Power on Light of Dawn - one question, should I hold my Holy Power and wait for damage or spend it as prevention (from Illuminated Healing)?
I just changed to Holy Prism this week, and in last night's LFR that was my #4 heal overall. I had Execution Sentence before.
All of my enchants are +crit, Spirit on weapon, and I use the Intellect Flask. I don't have mana issues normally unless I use Holy Radiance too much.
When there is a lot of group damage I use Holy Radiance but I don't think I apply this well since I use Grid2 and it doesn't have the VuhDo cluster feature. I might try VuhDo just for that reason.

will never know till I find a group just hit 100 5 days ago I think im pretty far ahead for the amount of time I played, I think I was at 24k hps so im off on your target by a little bit.

Yeah i know, giving you a hard time - sort of.

H Kargath is really easier than a lot of the stuff on Normal. I think Normal Imp is a good measuring stick because it's the only really challenging fight on normal and harder than 5 of the heroic bosses

In easy content disc will consistently hold back the numbers of all the other healers. Shields trump everything else, and if the damage intake is so low that shields are not getting broken then there's little for other healers to do besides heal the tank and however many people aren't getting shielded due to lack of GCDs. That said, the flip side to that is that a disc priest should very rarely need to cast an actual healing spell other than Cascade because topping people off is every other healer's job. If the disc priest starts having to use more than a handful of Flash Heal, PoH, or even plain old Heal and the raid isn't replacing a healer with a dps, then it means the other healers aren't keeping up.

Holy Prism is the right choice for pretty much everything now. Another change I would make is to replace Sacred Shield with Eternal Flame. Be careful about the Flash of Light usage, it can easily run you out of mana early. EF can be substituted in place of a Flash in situations where there's not a lot of AE happening and someone needs immediate healing. No matter what, don't cap your Holy Power; if you hit 5 then you should burn 3 before Holy Shock comes off CD.

Grid2 has AoE healing features and something basically the same as clusters. VuhDo might be easier to set up (not sure, never used anything but Grid/Grid2 and Clique myself) but that's about it.

Vorph is excellent at analyzing stuff and giving tips. I don't know if he enjoys it though. I always ask him about my logs to see what I can improve on. I fully expect after Saturday that there will be some eye opening results.

I wish I was still as good at taking my own advice as giving it. I guess I'm just getting old and forgetful and my reflexes are shit compared to what they used to be. If you look at my logs from last Friday, you'll see that I use PW:Solace for like the first minute of a fight, if even that long, and I pretty much never use Archangel at all. I've got a macro that casts it on the tank's or focus' target automatically, I have a WeakAura that tracks Evangelism stacks, the duration of Archangel, and the cooldown of both PW:Sol and Archangel, and I still can't remember to use any of it. Considering how little else Disc really has to worry about, it's kind of embarrassing to fail at something so simple. I'm pretty sure the only way I will be able to force myself to use them is to make another WA that puts a gigantic transparent icon in the center of my screen to tell me when PW:Sol is off CD and when Evangelism hits 5 stacks and AA is off CD.

I actually had to do that with a Bloodlust WA for all my characters because the sound effect gets lost in all the warnings my DBM+VEM setup is playing and I have my camera zoomed so far out that the size increase of my character's model isn't noticeable.

ONLY MAKES ME STRONGER BABY, but nah im pretty sure ill be fine ive healed 75% of my raid life in afterlife eq/wow, im just not used to this kind of priest, where I literally just spam shields and penance / cascade, and throw out some flash heals here and there with PoM.

my main was a priest back in vanilla then I went to paladin then I went to warlock/rogue for grandmaster at the end before I quit, im a little older like all of us :p but don't think my reflexs have suffered because I never gave up RTS/FPS. but we shall see.

Is the mana gain that much better with PW:S vorph? ive been using the mindbender talent~
