5 was good, 6 was so-so with clear woke influences. However, once you play EU4, all Civ games seems like trash.

I used to be a huge fan of the series but I will never play it again now that I played EU4

All of a sudden I want to play that one. Dont think I bought it, I got all of the modern Civs in my Steam Library though so will have to check. Got fond memories of the first one conquering the Indians and setting up trade.

Broadway and hollywood type wonders really arent woke in these. Not at all. But, 7 will fix this. They'll probably have stuff like a pride parade where 6 had its dumbshit concert nonsense. 6 had a decent framework, and just blew ass, and never seemed to find redemption from dlc like prior civs. I have zero hope for 7 to be good. Im way way way more hopeful for millennia or an eventual eu5.

Try Crusader Kings, usually a demo on steam. Different game, different mechanics, but same general feel, except mire RP like.

The best way to learn to play EU4 is by watching other people play imo. I don't know how you would even learn other than that. Slam your head against a wall a lot I guess? Haha

I did the game tutorials and watched like 2-3 videos of people playing.

TheBeagle TheBeagle Do that ^ and then start with Spain and dont beat yourself up too much for not winning or even being good.

I was in same boat as you, the game seemed very daunting. Once you get a hang of the first few concepts, everything else starts clicking together nicely.
