Hell, I don't blame Florida for not leaving the state. They have more high-level competition in their state than anyone else does. Miami, Florida St, and Florida all have national titles since 2000. Heck, I can't think of another state other than Pennsylvania that has 2 schools with national titles in the past 50 years, much less the past 15. Florida plays at least 1 of them every single year(usually Florida St now, but used to play Miami pretty regularly in the early 2000s). Then add in the fact that USF and UCF are occasionally pretty good (USF was ranked as high as #2 in the past decade, and UCF has ended it's season ranked 2 of the past 5 years, beating Georgia and Baylor in their bowl games)
Then throw in the fact that EVERY top 25-level school brings small schools into their own stadium for non-con games but rarely return the favor, and you never have to leave your state. Honestly, good for them and the state of Florida, keep all the money in-state. I'd guess that on average, if most P5 schools have 4 non-cons, 3 of their 4 are home games more often than not. Then Florida's 4th game is Florida St/Miami
