I played Deprived for 2 hours on the hard difficulty covenant. Rerolled a warrior and was caught up in 3 minutes LOL.

Haha, rerolling an entire character instead of running through an area for 20 seconds to reach a chest. That's some fucking dedication right there.
Dude, I've got Demon and Dark Souls platted on 3.5 accounts (Dark on 4, Demon's on 3) - wiping that much 'progress' to restart without missing anything is nothing... (Note - I don't account hop anymore not sure I'll bother platting more than twice if the wife wants it platted on hers and she's missing some)

[Although it does bum me out that this account is sitting at 66% average right now - so many partial games dragging it down...]

And platting DS2 is looking insane FYI - others I'd put around a 6-7/10 (mostly tedious not hard persay) some of the stuff here looks downright hard - at least a few covenants look to need to be maxxed for the platinum at least a few of which are in the 150-500+ PVP wins under a criteria to max or get L2 for the unique thing needed.... Looking to be a 9 or 10/10 difficulty platinum.

You guys must play a lot of video games. I envy you
Viva los disability - I hate being homebound and have mended enough for a return to work - but it does kill the time until my degree finds me another career. (Although that is on hold since we've decided to move south...)

And on the surface it looks great - and games like Dark Souls do make it wonderful - but sometimes it feels like a job of itself working through some shit just to occupy my time because of being homebound. (Although less so now until the car accident once my health picked up - back to it for a bit until we replace the car though...)

I ordered the guide along with the game. I've barely touched the thing to try and keep the experience as pure as possible but I was looking through the armor sets and I noticed something really interesting. For melee characters, once you kill the Pursuer, there is a set of armor (Drangleic) just past his room that you drop down to obtain. This is among the best armor in the game. It has some of the best defense stats and poise of all the armor in the game and you get it right at the beginning. It doesn't do anything flashy (like bonus fire resistance) but it's a solid set of gear and it's well worth boosting your stats to equip it all and stay under the 70% weight limit.

Yep, that's what I heard about that encouraged my reroll and guide purchase because of missing it. (Plus the Pyro Flame issue as well)

Btw Vac that first pyro flame is in the very last room of the boat after you beat Flexile. Same room as the compass that transports you to the next area.

Ah lol - I hit the compass first when I entered there - that was another thing on my "revisit" list because I jumped right into the cutscene and there's no trip back at Bastille...

I did the same thing and only decided to double check when I went back to open the shortcut door and light the big torch.

What weapons are you guys finding that work out early? I know about the fire sword/heide sword but as far as going STR or DEX what is working out early? I was debating going str on my bandit as it looks like you get str weapons pretty early then resepecing to dex once katanas start dropping

BTW Apparently glancing through the guide there's a TON of bonuses at the various vendors for spending X amount of souls at each (and looks like almost all have one) - the Hag for example at 10k souls spent will give you a Covetous Silver Serpent Ring +1 for free apparently. [Verifying in a sec - halfway on spending it up on her - Covetous Silver +1 being a bargain if you grab it early and use it whenever applicable of course]

Ahhh. That makes sense then. I noticed I had some items in my inventory (2 rings in particular) that I had no idea how got there. I am sure I didn't loot them. I guess the NPCs might have said something, but after I have exhausted the initial dialogue with them, I tend to skip all the dialogue they say while shopping.

I can confirm the 10k "free" ring from the hag, got it last night. You have to use her talk option to get it. Unfortunately you can't wear two of the same ring so my normal one is useless now :[

The normal merchant in Majula will also gain new armor sets as you spend 1k, 12 (or 16?)k, and I think 30k+. He also had the Lost Sinner's armor available after I beat him.

I was using my starter scimitar +4 and made another one +2, but I replaced both of them with the lightning / fire swords which are +5 and +4 now. I'm hoping I'll have some good dex options available once I unlock the boss soul guy.

She's the vendor that sold the BSmith key then moves to Majula next to the fire. She's pretty hard to miss... the one with the hobo pack on her back with the lamp on it.

She is originally at the first bonfire in FoFG if that's what you're asking. After you talk to her she moves to Majula right near the bonfire in the direction of Betwixt / Shaded.

So after killing the 3 Sentinels, I explored around a bit and found myself in the Belfry. I, promptly, was invaded for the first time ever and since I wasn't prepared for it, lost quickly.

I decided to backtrack and killed the Dragonrider in one attempt (I only raised one platform too so falling to my death was a possibility). I then banged my head on the Dragonslayer for a solid hour before, finally, killing him. Burned through a TON of Lifegems... He's just super aggressive and kept clipping me. I finally found my rhythm though and killed him. And now I'm done for the day. Won't get nearly as much time tomorrow
