I always wanted to see a straight up brutal action movie like the Raid with Wolverine in it, this is one step closer.
Now that this movie is out, kicks all ass, and broke tons of records, can we finally fix the title? His name is Ryan Reynolds. Even if the title is intended to be possessive, it's done incorrectly. I've even seen people in this thread call him "Reynold's" without any intended usage of possessive.
Grammar Nazi blah blah, this movie fucking rocked, and I can't wait til the sequel. Buying this on Blu-ray the minute it comes out, and kudos to Ryan REYNOLDS for being such a trooper and finally getting his movie made, and made so fucking well. Yeah boi!
Is this when we start screaming about mods abusing their powers?
Should just call it by it's real name....Francis.Title is still wrong. The way it's spelled now implies multiple Ryan Reynold in possessive form.
It should be Ryan Reynolds's.
its*, dipshitShould just call it by it's real name....Francis.
Fun Fact: Wolverine actually has seven claws.4 words
Hugh. Jackman's. Glorious. Dong.
The apostrophe on the outside of the end of a proper (or common for that matter) noun ending in "s" is all that is needed to express possession no? It's been 25 years since I took any English classes.Title is still wrong. The way it's spelled now implies multiple Ryan Reynold in possessive form.
It should be Ryan Reynolds's.
Only if it's plural. Reynolds isn't plural, it just ends in an -s. So if his last name was Ryan Reynold, then Reynold's would be appropriate. The apostrophe on the outside of the end of a proper (or common for that matter) noun ending in "s" is all that is needed to express possession no? Actually its not that cut and dry. There is no single rule for how to treat apostrophe s in English. Up until this century the rule was that Biblical or classical names ending in s would get the single apostrophe to form the possessive form - Jesus' book, Socrates' philosophy - but common names would always be 's - Reynolds's Deadpool, Sanders's Jew Nose.Only if it's plural. Just like if it was a guy named Chris. Would Chris' Deadpool or Chris's Deadpool sound right?
I really hope we get a lively grammatical debate going in the Deadpool thread.
I'm right there with you.I hate all of you.
Slow down bro, you almost triggered my AMOD reflexesSanders's Jew Nose.
They're both pronounced the same and they're both rightJust like if it was a guy named Chris. Would Chris' Deadpool or Chris's Deadpool sound right?
