I’m about the 10 hours mark and just started chapter 3, totally enjoying the game.

The story is just weird enough and the setting is pretty cool, I’ve been reading all emails and interviews and it fills in a lot of the blanks. It’s the same method Horizon used which I really liked.

i find the music totally amazing and it fits the mood so well.

I love the gameplay also, it fits with what I like about open world games. I enjoy the balance, pun intended, that is required for the deliveries between how much you carry, which tools and weapons and how many of them you being, and what path you chose to get where you’re going choosing between speed, safety, and ease of travel.

The multiplayer stuff is pretty cool too, it’s nice to see stuff left by other players. Sometimes I actually change my path because I see ladders, rope, bridge, or some other structure they build that might indicate a more efficient way to get to where I’m going. It’s also kinda fun receiving ”likes” for something you left behind.

I’m not disappointed, great game.

This is a great game. Its definitely an art piece. Meant to be experienced and is totally about the story. It won't be everyones cup of tea. But its everything I expected it to be.

It sure seems like this is one of the highest effort goat simulators that i've ever seen.

I give him credit for having a vision. I can see what he was going for and probably accomplished. He literally made a walking simulator. And no one told him no?

I know that sounds like i'm panning it.. but it's actually kind of impressive.

So far the game has made it very clear that roads are good. I don't know that I'm really enjoying it, however, so much as persisting through it.

My “issue” so far, about 10 hours in, is this overwhelming sense of miraculousness people heap on Sam. Every delivery is “Oh my God, you walked 5 minutes. Well, they do say you’re the best.” What?! The emails and historical data try to put this in perspective but it just isn’t well represented in actuality. And the scale of the US map once you link up outposts is wwwaaayyyyy off putting. Apparently I’ve walked from Boston to Chicago in a couple of hours. It is just strange.

Also, the Canteen kind of breaks the whole concept of Timefall. I mean, we’re carrying around a bottle that turns this super dangerous temporal acid rain in to Monster Energy drink.

yeah he has a filter. But there is a data entry that states as soon time fall touches something, it turns into water.

I'd take that with a grain of salt. I expect Sam is a legend because he makes deliveries in spite of BLT and timefall. The other lesser porters are the ones who's packages you see all over.

That being said. What kind of idiot would take a lost package that's going to some place the complete opposite direction of what you are going? Why does delivering them to a postbox so other players can porter them still grant you the same amount of points as delivering them?

They also have the idea that the chiral network allows instantaneous data transmission and that it actually sends the data back in time to arrive at the end point.
