I don't understand how this game is good, but yet I'm actually looking forward to playing it and getting tons out of it every time I start playing.

There's some kind of zen thing going on when I'm preparing for a journey and slowly building shit to make stuff easier. It almost feels like Harvest Moon in a bizarre way.

My issue is not that the game is not good, rather, the game does not SEEM and reviews don't WRITE like it's a 9/10 or 10/10. Yet that's the score they assigned to it.

I find it believable that it's a 7/10 or 8/10 game, however, which is still in the range of good.

Maybe the visuals, sound, music, story are all 10/10 game, but the fun factor is like 4/10. Sure, okay. Does that sound like a 10/10 game? Nope.

Fun is an interesting element of gaming. The "fun" factor. How much fun are you having actually playing the game?

I've had a ton of fun playing shitty games. So fun is somewhat subjective.

I dont want to waste my money on this, but at the same time I feel like I would be missing out on something significant.

So, regardless of good or bad, i need to understand something.
1) how can you determine the final destination of cargo? Sometimes i want to do the full delivery but i get to a facility and drop it off and it says it’s been entrusted to another player.
I’ve looked and looked and have not seen how to tell where exactly cargo should be delivered.

mom inventory page there is a super small map in the lower right corner, i assume this is it but there is no way to zoom in or see which facility that really is.

Delivering lost cargo is just as if you had delivered it to the location. I guess lore-wires it means another courier will finish the delivery. You still get the faction points for “delivering” it.

No shit. You're not saying anything new or revolutionary by saying that "fun" is subjective.

But human beings have capacity for this thing called empathy in which we can put ourselves in someone else's shoes. I don't think Call of Duty is "fun" but I thoroughly recognize this can be "fun" to other people. So I can conclude that Call of Duty has a high fun factor for people interested in first-person shooters and that the game is not for me. Or that rollercoaster tycoon has a high factor for people interested in micromanagment sim games and that the game is not for me.

There is definitely an endorphin sort of thing going on with the stuff you can build. I took great pride when I finished the road in chapter 3 (plus a ton of likes from people using it).

I got through chapter 6, returned it to RedBox, and then watched a stream / read a synopsis of the ending to see if my deductions about the plotline were on point or not.

I'm glad I played it, but I'm also glad I only spent $3 on it.

Well shit. Looks like I'm going to have to order this. That the game is so polarizing and indescribable makes me think it's a success. The worst thing would have been if Kojima had created another bog-standard shooter.

A lot of people are posting about how great the cooperative mechanics of shared infrastructure are. It sounds like jolly cooperation on steroids.

My biggest complaint about the online stuff (probably the game as a whole too) is that I rarely feel like I need to actually build anything myself. There's so much shit that appears the moment I convert a region to UCA that I just feel like, why bother?

Any word on what the social building aspects are going to be like months from now? Is a new player going to find all the shit already done, or are they going to join the latest grouped instance?
