Thanks that's kinda where my heads at. I KNOW screws work.I have those but never bothered to use them. Honestly not sure the benefit either, not like any of my PCs ever rattled or anything.
Going by this, faster ram does seem better for 9800X3D as well.
Yeah. They are big. I got the Performance and the gf couldn't carry it very far. Huge. Heavy. Total breeze to work on. Very well built.I bought an Antec Flux Pro.
Don't. Very cool case but holy shit it's way too fucking big.
It's too fucking heavy. Sending it back; getting a Torrent Compact even if it's going to be a bitch to cable. Luckily this machine won't have many.Yeah. They are big. I got the Performance and the gf couldn't carry it very far. Huge. Heavy. Total breeze to work on. Very well built.

Antec makes a sweet case these days. Interior top part comes off, makes installing anything easy. Flux Pro is made for liquid cooling, also very easy to do. I got an EK liquid cooler, interior has a huge amount of space and no obstructions. It is pretty chonk, though. GF thought she could carry it, made it from the kitchen table to the stairs and gave up.Now I want it even more. Unfortunately I have no good reason to do a swap from my Phanteks P500a. Probably won't be doing a new build for another year at the earliest.
It has been on my radar since I saw the GN review of it. I built a system in a Torrent for a friend, so that urge is out of my system. antec also has a copy of the o11 w/ wood if thats what youre hankering forIt has been on my radar since I saw the GN review of it. I built a system in a Torrent for a friend, so that urge is out of my system. I haven't done a build in an Antec since the good old 900.
I'm not much for the showcase PCs, I just want a roomy box with good airflow to build in. The less glass the better and I still need space for a few HDD cages.antec also has a copy of the o11 w/ wood if thats what youre hankering for
haven't there been some issues with Asrock MB's frying 9800x3ds? might want to look into that.Well, maybe or maybe didn't get a card this morning. We'll see if order is cancelled. Went back a few pages to try and put together a potential build around the 9070 XT. This will be a completely separate machine so won't reuse parts from my current setup. NewEgg does have a combo for the 9800x3d and X870E Taichi for -$20 off. Or I could just go a little cheaper mobo. Not really going to min/max the crap out of this thing.
I fished around for CL30 / DDR5-6000 or 6400 and there were a few options so just hit the G.Skill. 32 gig saved $100 over 64 so went with that for now. Didn't seem to be much savings in a 750W - 1000W power supply so just picked the Corsair b/c I'm running the RM850 in this machine.

You also don't need a $440 board for a 9800X3D. Any B650E board will give you everything but USB4.0.
