Those FuryX benchmarks are pretty disappointing, to be honest. It's pretty much behind the 980Ti at every resolution under 4k, and then *at best* tied with the 980Ti at 4k, but still behind in some games.

If you're gaming at 1080p or 1440p, The Fury X basically splits the difference between a 970 and a 980Ti in benchmarks, so it should probably be priced firmly between the two (970 is $300, 80ti is $650, the Fury X *should* be priced around $450-$500, but it's $200+ more than that)

AMD better show some huge gains with some driver updates soon, or there's nearly no reason that someone would buy a Fury X over a 980Ti

I want AMD to do good for the sake of competition but I sure as hell am not going to be the one buying there stuff.

Sweet Jysin, that is exactly what I'm moving from. 670 SLI to the (for now) one 980 Ti. Will pick up a second one sometime around Thanksgiving if I'm feeling froggy.

Onboard audio on my motherboard is dying it seems, getting constant feedback from both front and back mic ports across multiple pairs of headphones. USB headphones/mic seem to work fine, anyone got any recommendations for a good USB set? Not super concerned with price, just need something with good voice quality that can also play music at decent volume/clarity.

The Corsair pair I grabbed as temporaries from Microcenter seem fine for voice, but the audio playback on them seems middling as best. Far, far worse than my Logitech G230s via the regular audio plugs.
I recently grabbed aAmazon.com: FiiO E10K USB DAC and Headphone Amplifier (Black): Electronicsfor my computer. It's pretty highly regarded as the best DAC/AMP solution for under $100, and thus far, I'm really happy with it. What really sold me on it was the fact that it has a line out as well as the usual headphone jack, so I can have my powered speakers hooked up to it at the same time.

Never purchased that brand before. I usually stick to what im familiar with when it comes to electronics.

Monoprice has been selling their brand of monitors for a few years now. They're cheaply made (like the Korean 1440p monitors) but they all use basically the same display panels. You mostly are getting a cheap casing/stand and limited extra features (maybe only 1 video port, etc) that makes them so damn cheap.

Don't do it, and wait for something with G-sync?

1440p for $199 is damn tempting though...(especially as a 2nd monitor, I already have a "good" 1440p for my gaming)

Wow, that looks exactly like my Qnix 1440p, just different name on it. Stand, power button, light, etc all the same.

Could do worse I'm sure for $199. Just make sure you can drive 2 1440p monitors, like mine it just has the dual link DVI-D. HDMI/Displayport adapters aren't cheap.

Only thing that stood out to me when I looked at it was only on display port no hdmi (not that big a deal) and only 60hrz which made me think not for gaming but if you already have a gaming monitor then $199 sounds pretty good.

Wonder if I can RMA my 670s to get 770s and if they'd sell for more / it'd be worth the hassle.

Well, it stays really cool and it owns in completely synthetic (non-gaming) benchmarks... so I guess AMD has that going for them

I ended up canceling my pre-order for the Fury X. I game at 1600p and it performs worse than the 980Ti and I can pick one up for the same price plus the 980 Ti has 2GB more memory. I really think NVIDIA should get punished by the market for Gameworks and GSync, so I might just skip this generation. I may change my mind if a driver update manages to improve performance at lower resolutions.

Really wish AMD would step it up and become more competitive, both in the GPU and CPU markets.
