One thing to note. You, on pc, won't be able to play with anyone outside your region using bnet. You have to select the region before launching the game. And it locks you in.
Good. Have they excluded fucking Brazilians from NA servers yet?

They Huehuehuehue'd Warsong and Gurubashi into shitholes.

@Zarcath Will there be cross saves since us master race plebs will want to transfer our characters over to PC?

Also, where them sweet beta codes at bruh? I bet we could get Utnayan to do a little dance for them.

Think about it.

Destiny on PS4 and Xbox use PSN and Live respectively for friends-list and other party stuff, right?

If they use battle.net that stops them from having to make a standalone party/friends interface just for PC.

Will also use all their login infrastructure.

Would be more curious if they had to pay for it, or activision gave it for free because it will make them money(contact with their other titles and WoW token sales)

Pay for it? Unlikely.

Accounting charge for services, almost certainly in any corporation of any size.

The nice thing about consoles is not having to worry about dealing with the tech curve associated with unlocked framerate etc. Puts everyone at a more consistent handicap.

I bought destiny 1 at launch. I agree with all the statements that said it was a big puddle of content; basically the game appeared to look like it had a lot of content but it was very shallow. PvP got stale and the "raids" were just no fun.

That's not to say it was all bad, I did like the gun play. But that's the only nice thing I can say.

Now if you can point out where I'm wrong I'll gladly watch some YouTube videos or something.

I can bet what happened.

The writers of the original Destiny (before it got hackneyed), presented it as a piece of video game literature to the suits. The developers' idea was that once you make something and put it out into the world, all we have to do is keep writing for it and making money. The writing team is a small price to pay for the bucks that we're soon gonna be rolling in.

The suits then decided that it wasn't video game literature, and could, and did, cut it up any way that they saw fit. The suits, all that they see is short term. So, they decided to cut it up and fuck the little guy out of his story. Fuck the writing team, because they have given us enough here to work with for the next six years.

Pretty much how I see it going down. I don't blame the devs at all, they did a great job with the world and gameplay. It was the lack of content allowed out the door that sucked.

I thought the raids were really fun. Yeah it became somewhat of a grind running strikes, raids, nightfalls etc. over and over, but I still had fun doing all of it. FPS games by the nature of their genre are fucking repetitive. They really needed some leaderboard or ladders or something for PvP, but that isn't a content issue.

I mean I don't really agree with lack of content. Compared to a mmorpg then yeah it isn't there. But compared to any other FPS? Or online console game? It was fine.

So what was the final word? Is the content of the original game included in this along with the new stuff?

No, entirely new game. New planets, etc...

New meaning most of it developed in 2013. Mercury was renamed ios or whatever that planet was.

Coming to realize that even the European zone we are getting in D2 was slated for the original? Have to be fucking kidding me.

It's hard to lay down the feels when looking at this from just how fucking unethical it all is. Someone teach me so I can still play it and make fun of mkopec over voice chat.

Guys from Kotaku played it some yesterday and posted their thoughts.

It's still basically Destiny 1 - this game could be an expansion. Same UI, not many new features outside of the weapon loadout options. Seems like an excuse to reboot playerbase and hopefully they have better development tools this time around to speed up content creation.
