It's the weekly strike. Bring fire weapons, ideally a fusion rifle. Heavy doesn't matter, either kind works fine. Fight to the door and start it up, then run back to the entrance you came in. Get the attention of the thralls and kill them all. Snipe the acolytes from far away, then kill the knights however you like. Once the wizards spawn, get them to chase you back to the entrance and kill them with the fusion and heavy weapons (fire rips their shields down instantly).

More trash, skip as much as you feel like and head for the area along the pit where the two hallowed knights are. I just charged right at them and used my super (Titan/Striker). It didn't kill them, but one fusion burst to each afterwards did. Now you're at Phogoth.

There's a rock at the back left of his room. Behind that rock is a wall with a spot where you can duck behind, and when you hold down ADS it acts as cover if you're in the correct place. Jump up there and hide, killing off the knights as quickly as possible. They fire mortar-like projectiles that will kill you even in cover. There's like 5 of them, some hallowed, some just chosen. Once they are dead, pick off the leftover acolytes. ***DO NOT KILL ALL THE THRALLS.*** They can't get to you where you're hiding and if you kill them all the next wave of reinforcements is triggered and you'll have wizards and a lot more knights to deal with. Just shoot Phogoth until he's dead. He'll come to you and try to get you with his beam but even on heroic it does very little damage unless you stand in it for several seconds. Duck behind cover and he'll stop shooting, then pop out and aim for his stomach for precision damage. Scout rifle or hand cannon is ideal here. Use up your fusion and heavy ammo too, they do good damage to him.

I didn't need consumables to beat him, but I would bring some to be safe. As for gear, it's not a big deal. Like I said before, due to getting fucked by RNG I'm only L24 from all L19-20 blues with bonuses to scout on all three slots, and I have a L20 rare scout, L18 rare solar fusion, and L20 legendary solar MG for guns.

Haha, Grumpus...insane dude. Nice job.

So for some positivity, I am absolutely having a blast with a partner switching up PVP matches -> strike -> PVP.

We went 17-4 last night for PVP matches and several of them were 2v3 where we were outnumbered and putting up a hell of a fight, but those accounted for most of the losses. After we did a few matches of PVP we switched up and did the Strike playlist and ran through some shit. It was all very fluid, and a hell of a lot of fun. I really like the potential in this game for these kinds of sessions, even with not so so much content the replay value is pretty good and the PVP is (imo) very well done. Here's to hoping a few small changes get worked on and new content is sooner rather than later.

The shotguns and fusion rifles are such a problem in pvp. I was getting my ass stomped until I switched to a fusion rifle. If they made a game mode with no radar, I would go back to using my hand cannon.

Blink in pvp is a fucking blast once you get the hang of it, though. I've been #1 or #2 in most of my games on my hunter. I do really well as long as I don't go head-to-head with anyone.

Got a legendary helm from a blue engram, and I bought my legendary gloves. I should hit 26 tonight/tomorrow once I upgrade those 2

Not buying anything with marks until I see what the weekend vendor is selling this week. Hopefully it's a scout rifle this time so I can just buy the legendary gloves and chest. No idea wtf to do if it's some other weapon class.

its stupid as fuck but hella fun, if you have a titan level up striker and max out all the punching shit, then play rumble pvp which is free for all deathmatch. its funny as hell running around the map punching people to death in 1 shot, must be what mike tyson feels like

Be curious to see where you differ in gearing path? PVP/Strike/Farm.
From farming last night it seems like Farming > other two. Also made me realize there's almost zero reason to do public events.

Ya, I didn't get the little mailer for the 3 public events I did yesterday. Seems bugged or something.

So I was just readingthispost on reddit, and the poster is suggesting that you farm rep for one of the 3 specific factions, instead of vanguard & crucible.

Dead Orbit has the gear I want, but I wanted to see if anyone had a reason for me to keep farming vanguard & crucible rep instead of switching over to them.

I was thinking of spending my crucible marks at the dead orbit vendor for a gun and trying to get vanguard up to rank 2 for some armor. I'm way behind on my reputation right now. Crucible is rank 1, even with all the pvp and bounties i've done, and I haven't even hit rank 1 for vanguard yet.

Why can't I see my faction Reputation rank levels outside of the tower like I can see my Crucible and Vanguard marks in my Inventory? Am I missing it somewhere?
