I know a lot of people were having trouble joining the rerolled group/clan because the approval message was never popping up, so I just changed it to open...if anyone still wants to set your clan

I think you have to go to bungie.net and log in through there. I had tried to do it through the Destiny mobile phone app but it wouldn't let me set clans, I had to go to the actual website on my PC.

After logging in go to the far left side at the icons, and I think pull down clan and search for Rerolled.

Honestly, clans are kinda bs. There's nothing in game that shows clan-mates so you can group with them, which should've been the first thing implemented upon thinking to add clans. Of course, it would be nice if the PSN would support clans as well so my friends list wouldn't be at 39 forever since damn near every destiny lfg pug requires you to invite them to friends list out of laziness (and subsequently delete the second after for fear of forgetting who to delete). Fucking social networking has been out for how long now and this shit still is a decade behind. /rant

Well spronk the thing is the new raid starts at 30, right? Which means if you don't make some progress to 30 now, by the time you get it from running the strike everyone you know will be done with the raid.

But you're right, I'll get r1 for the rep bonus items for the next round and see how it goes from there. WoW and having a headache made me skip this round.

I don't even have the exotic helm to get 30 the easy way because fuck xur anyway.
From what I heard the new raid wont be in at "release" of the DLC, probl a week later. The DLC gives us lvl 28 strikes that you can get stuff from that push you to 30 so the IB thing was pretty pointless to begin with (unless you like PVP ofc). Considering all our current raid gear will be dismantled ASAP when we start getting the new stuff, Im a bit concerned how they plan for the future... will it be a gear reset every 2 months? In WoW we ususaly had the better part of 2 years to enjoy the BIS stuff, 2 months feels a bit like "why even bother".

New raid looks cool tho and I hope they have taken note of all the exploits we did in VoG and made a more tight experience out of it instead of handing out loot for pushing bosses over the edges. Cant get a raid going now without pushing Templar off, handling Oracles from the ledge, relogging to skip Gorgons... in short, if you want to actually beat the raid fair today your SOL.

Oracles is semi-legit as it is. At least you actually have to kill the mobs. Templar is full on cheese though

Anyways, anyone planning on running HM raid? I'm going to be out of town most of the week so I'd like to knock it out if possible

I'll be trying to do at least one complete VOG hard-mode on my titan (need the helm) tonight. My hunter still needs boots but I'm not sure if I care enough to go through hard-mode with her unless it's a quick oracles + templar run.

This week's Nightfall was pretty rough solo due to the combination of wizards and knights having different shield elements than the burn modifier. It was definitely still possible to do solo, but certainly much more frustrating than prior to the recent changes. It did became noticeably easier with each additional person present. I'm pretty sure that's how it SHOULD be, so good on them for making a part of the game better.

I'll be running the raid 3x again this week. I fixed my notifications so I'll get the messages if me or the wife are playing dragon age once you all log in.

On the plus side, there's pretty much no void damage enemies except the acolytes which are nothing. Arc burn makes that strike pretty rough

Yep, I saw at 2 of your nightfalls. At least you got an exotic on the second one, though I higly doubt you will ever use it.

I've done over a dozen nightfalls and have only seen 3 exotics, two Titan armors that xur sells every other week and Truth the week xur was selling it. Besides nightfall, the only exotic drop I have gotten is mythotrash. Every other exotic had been purchased from Xur

Wound up reaching rank 4 IB in a day, so I have all the +rep shit for the next time. Which I find funny because there is absolutely nothing in game that tells you these items give you extra rep gain and I have no idea if any other emblems work the same (aside from the required ones to get faction rep that nobody bothers with?) I didn't have the glimmer or the care left to buy the fusion rifle that everyone was one shotting me with though, but at least I have lv30 boots to go with my one raid drop (gloves) And I really hadn't bothered with PVP much up to this point so it was something different.

It started out great but the last hour or two was really rough. Like, constant games against clan groups that actually didn't suck, or games starting 6 v 4, or 5v5 with one guy afk, or 5v4 that we almost won anyway, and so on. I shamefully capped out on loser tokens and ate another loss on top of it. I don't think IB win/loss is tracked but I'm sure it was pretty horrific.

Overall I'd call PVP a laggy unbalanced mess. Hey, we punched each other and only I died. Hey, my grenades just tickle people but theirs one shot me through a wall. Hey, every type of fusion rifle everyone else has one shots me yet mine (the calling) doesn't even fully take down shields. Luckily I nearly never lose a duel with primary weapons, but I have no auto rifle for the bounty. Oh boy, dead during the ridiculously long nova wind up again. Oh, shotguns. Why don't my sniper headshots kill people, because theirs sure do. Odds of any teammates coming with me when I assault a control point: about 1 in fuck you. Hey, if I'm pinning down 5 enemies at C by myself, how come they are still holding B, isn't that where my entire team's skull icons are hanging out? If I hang out at A or C, nobody will ever show up. The moment I leave, captured. You know what, their supers are up and they are using them on me. Always. And their heavy ammo never runs out. They ALWAYS punched first, no matter how long ago you thought you meleed. Autoaim WILL make you 180 grenade/rocket/nova bomb yourself in the face, because fuck you. Your target is one shot from dead? Well how about I swing your gun to point at the guy who just ran in instead. No, you can't disable this. Hey look, the guy with 2 kills and 18 deaths got the legendary again. Congrats on being first place on the loser team, you get nothing. Ten kill streak bounty, when there's a million goddamn things that can one shot you? Good fucking luck with that one, better find yourself a good pussy perch. (if getting 5 streaks counted I'd have it 50 times over, sigh)

But the rest of the time it went pretty well and was a good time. I just got worse and worse as the day went on because I was trying too hard to force a win that wasn't happening because it was that or just stand there jerking off. I'm just too aggressive and even hundreds of hours of battlefield didn't fix that.

But hey, at least I have a few things to actually level again since VOG gives me nothing.

so if the DLC is essentially a gear reset, what happens with nightfall, xur, etc? Do you get new 32 gear with nf/xur or are there two tiers of those events/vendors?

Earlier in the week we were doing RR premades, it was pretty awesome. Some games we would absolutely wreck the other team, and some games we get wrecked, it was a blast. I had a couple games in there with 10+ K/D ratio.

Oh and the 10 kill streak includes assists, so it's not quite as bad as it seems

I hit IB rank 5 but had to fucking farm glimmer for 2 hours to buy anything because I was broke buying all the shaders, armbands, and all the other shit that I learned from the forums that gives you stacking IB rep bonus that it does not even explain in the game. (I still dont understand why the tooltips on those items dont explain this??) So yeah, I got both weapons, fucked around trying to reroll them and they probably ended up being the same thing when I got them in the first place, lol. But overall I was satisfied with the IB grind. I did it a few matches per night, maybe like six? usually i got a few wins, few losses and just played until I got a win again to cash in the coins. Did a few more over the weekend. Got my boots, arms and both weapons and all the shit to make the next one go a bit easier. As IB went along I hit Lv28 and finally maxxed out my Shadow price which definitely made a difference.

This weeks nightfall seems interesting. Void burn, but all the shields are either arc or solar. Fuck.

The key to IB was the weapons. They're re-rollable and the stats are geared towards PVP. Jolder's hammer, the machine gun, has awesome rate of fire and impact. Roll stability and range and you're golden. Timur's lash has highest impact for a gun. Roll higher mag, stability, and something fun like explosive rounds and it's godly. I got the scout rifle and rolled third-eye, piercing rounds, and lucky bullet. Godly.

I'm not sure about the fusion rifle. I didn't buy it because Wizard 77 is near unbeatable for PVP. IB fusion rifle had lower impact but faster charge time. I'm not sure there's enough mods for fusion rifles to make it worth it for PVP. Would've gotten it for PVE except it was solar damage and I have Ice Breaker/Invective already for that shit.

They definitely need to add glimmer to winning IB's. The ~50k glimmer to buy everything is way too fucking costly.

I just picked up this game off redbox to mess around with, anyone got some noob friendly advice, what skills I should go into etc?
