Just grind out to 20. Play some crucible (PvP, its balanced so ven noobs can play too) and do your bounties for Vanguard rep. Do your dailies and do your daily vanguard bounties. They take no longer than 1 hour. Then at 20 you can start buying vanguard gear from the vendor to get you light levels (levels above lv 20). Do strike list to get fully outfitted with lv 20 blues with light points on them, this will get you to 24. Then start picking up a piece here and there of the purple vendor gear as you get vendor ranks and marks to buy them with. As soon as you are lv 26ish you can start to raid, but preferably 27 or 28. But im sure you can find someone to sherpa your ass through it a few times.

I chose a warlock I didn't know this when I got the game but my cousin has a lvl 25 tank class the first one, I almost wanna just jump in with that but im sure ill get slammed having no idea what to do.

is the crucible some place I like que for in game? or is that some option I choose from the main menu, and what lvl do I start doing that at 20?

Choose warlock for your class........they are super OP'ed right now. Their self res which you unlock at later levels is a must have for some of the later content. The rest of us that don't play warlocks just have to rely on skill to not die =P.

But ya, warlock is obviously the best, and Titan is second. Hunters are just useless for the most part, their main class ability is invisibility which is of marginal use in very specific scenarios

I had no idea when choosing, are there class specific weapons and such? I guess I got a special abilitiy using both triggers and my melee is like a force push or something.

thinking about going on my cousins lvl 25 to experience more of the game since im only gonna have it a few days, not sure how long leveling is in this.

Weapons are shared for all classes. They all have slightly different grenades and melee, and all have a different super

Hunters are far from useless in PvP though. They are OP as fuck IMO. But im pretty happy with my sunbro. But yeah, redbox? Hmm didn't catch that part in your post. this game requires tons of hours to actually come to a point where youre not useless.

For PVP they aren't useless, but at best they are slightly better than Titan. In control I would take a Titan over a hunter

FYI, I have the Atheon HM checkpoint on my 30 warlock. I don't need to kill him for loot, but can either pass along the checkpoint or help a group kill him if needed.

Pretty much done for the week -- just need to level up and farm upgrade materials to get my titan to 30. Currently, I'm missing only three items from VOG:
1) titan arms (can hit 30 though!)
2) hunter boots (no 30, boo)
3) praetorian foil

Not sure if I actually care about #3. If I had a Gjallahorn it would be nice to be able to use Foil in the special slot, but I'm not sure if Truth would perform much better than my Ice Breaker for e.g., Gatekeepers.

I won a Timur's Lash from a match, so at least I have another primary worth playing around with. Dat impact is fun. Kinetic though ;/

Also, hard mode VOG dropped a raid helm (can get 30 now thanks to IB), a speeder (yay for reals, gonna Xur that bitch) and a Found Verdict. So if IB was next week instead of last week I'd be a death machine.

So yeah, shit really worked out well this week. And thanks for putting up with a 29 in your hard mode. Oh, and I forgot to put my super back on resurrect after Templar and that's why I was sitting around dead like an idiot for a few gatekeeper reps. I just didn't admit it.

NOW FIX THE FUCKING AMMO BUG

Well that's gay. Does the overcharge speed boost make it better/faster than a rare with xur thingy? Strafing is pretty cool at least.

I'm a sucker for anything that lets me move faster.

I think so Kreugan. I thought the Xur speeder add-on was mainly a flavor type thing, making blue or purple flames shoot out of the back of your speeder. It might make it match the speed of the Atheon speeder but I doubt it would make it faster. The speed boost on the Atheon speeder is definitely fast, and fyi if you hold it down too long your speeder will blow up lol. It also has high durability (120) vs other speeders, which is nice when you want to skip content and youre getting hit by mobs.

I have timebreaker and the 175vanguard mark speeder w/ the xur upgrade. Timebreaker is definitely faster and more durable, but i think the vanguard one is more stable f o r material farming...i spend less time upside down. I aldo like the R2 brake/quick turn
