You cant - its disabled atm bc it makes sense to disable it a week before the expac when you have nothing else to do thanks to patch and not WHEN the xpac release,...right?

Yeah I really don't understand why they removed all the hard mode missions etc. All the people who came back for 2.0 and have the house of wolves and crota content they never touched have to do those missions on easy mode... Also my patrols and daily events have been giving me no rewards/faction etc. It's pretty lame.

Not really since none of the shit is carrying over like it did in the past. Other than collector type shit to finish your collection or some shit maybe a few PvP weapons?. It seems like only a few of the exotics are carrying over and none of the raid purps are this time so IDK. Maybe they redo the drop tables on the old raids? I mean, it would be a shame to have all that content, be it old content, to be just useless when 2.0 really hits.
Its shit like this that angers me about this game. The game is severely lacking in content and to just hamstring your game like that makes no sense. At least with the past two expansions, the shit in VoG was still useful, you had your fatebrinnger, mythoclast and others that were still usefull for PvP and nightfall burns and such. Then HoW came around and they let you upgrade all of those, which still made it worthwhile to go to VoG and camp some shit out. But now? Who knows what they will do to keep the ld content from fading into obscurity.
Waht they should of done from the beginning is introduce new higher levels of those raids that correspond with the new levels of the expansions, like a hard mode lv34 version, then with TTK, a new lv40 hard mode. With corresponding drops of course.

Silly question, but have you been using a treasure key on the big chest after you beat Skolas? That's where all that stuff comes from...and you need to make sure to have room in the respective inventory slots or they poof (don't go to Postmaster).

Yeah i used them on it - and so did a friend and he didnt get it either - Ive posted on it but as im now out of keys i dont want to have to farm normal 28s for "luck" keys and do Skolas again to get fucked.

Attention hardcore guardians!
Who is planning on Raiding this Friday? Group I play with has close to two raid groups, prob have 3-4 spots open but we could form a third raid if needed. Not sure how hard its going to be to hit level cap but most of us have 20 public event packages saved up, full bounties and story/quests to do. Hope some of you have done the same. Exciting to have a new raid, lets hope it doesnt suck.
This is the make or break it expansion for Destiny IMO.

Chat should just be proximity + group. Fucking easy. The zones only hold like 12 people or some pathetic amount, it's not like there will be 500 people yammering at once on top of Xur.

you can't buy digital taken king without owning the previous xpacs. However for $60 you can buy the legendary edition which gives you everything - base game and all DLCs (in a single code), either digital or physical. So your cost is either $40 (if you own all xpacs up till now) or $60 (if you don't). There is no way to play taken king without owning all the DLCs, basically. You can still run destiny without taken king DLC but you are level capped at 34 and can't access any of the new content.
usha - i should be 40 easy probably within the first few hours on all my chars, keep in mind however that hitting 40 won't be enough. you will need light level 280 or more (?) to access the new raid. Since there is no cap on earning legendary marks i don't think it should be too tough to just run strikes or PVP and buy gear, but people will need to do that not just level to 40 and expect to enter the raids. I'd also expect the raid to be locked behind the new sub class story questline, so people don't go into it without all 3 subclasses.

I thought they were opening the past expansions for everyone for free once when TTK hits? Because people, once again were bitching everywhere on the net about how they had to pay for that shit and now people are getting it for free.
Had fun over the weekend playing with my kid. Got his hunter to 34, did nightfall, weekly. Then completed the HoW quest and did the 28 PoE. He got a hawkmoon from the nightfall, then the hard light from the PoE. I got the mida once again.
Then on Sunday took his lv12 titan and leveled him all the way to 30. Going to hopefully try to get him to 32 today and do the nightfall one more time, this time on my titan, and do the PoE one more time since we both have one one more key.
