pre order game from amazon paying with credit card, you get emailed a destiny beta code within 0-2 days, and you can cancel your pre-order up until it ships (Sept) with no charges.
They are also going to announce Collector Editions of the game soon, probably when beta starts

Yeah I preordered a year ago for X1 and did the registration of key thing, but it bought Zarc mention our codes would be good for beta too so I forget or I'm mistaken, no biggie tho.
When does xbone beta start? It hasn't been announced at all and everything I've read is sony is the only one starting the beta this month..

Some of my rl friends are actually booking a couple days off work to play the beta during the first week. And our whole crew will be during official release.
I have never seen so many peopls in agreement about how good a game is. Im excited about the game but I am more excited about the future of the game. It could potentially he a huge deal.
If the collectors edition is decent I will probably buy two and keep one unopened.

Curious here why everyone is really attached to the game? Looked at the clips and stuff and it looked alright but I didn't think it anything special. A bit more interesting then say titanfall for sure, but since I am not a FPS kinda of player it doesn't light a fire under my butt. Is it the bungie name?

TLDR
Great AI, Good diffuculty, Feels good(controls, movment and stuff), Fun classes, Fps with loot and gear and progression like a MMO. A MOTHER FUCKING WIZARD THAT CAME FROM THE MOON!
My big question though: Is it good to great single-player?
I've five billion games waiting that are MPx variants. Hell, plus a few RPG singles (eg MMX-Legacy) still unplayed.
I like the idea of the game and sure don't mind the cost even off sale but what is it and how does it play? I've more games than time so there is that.

From a guy who's only played halo 1 I don't care who bungie is. However I loved borderlands and I dig MP games so this having something akin to a persistent world where I can group up with real life bros and playa seemingly never ending and forever growing borderlands game? I'm all good with that. The alpha was more enjoyable than some retail games which may or may not be saying much, but in the end I was very pleased.
I'm really excited about the size, scope and production values of the game. Openly stating they are pumping huges amounts of cash into the life of the game in my opinion says there will be a lot of depth.
My prediction is this game will be this generations version of WoW. Yeah I said it.

It is very playable. The feel of the controls are very intuitive and work well for a person who is used to keyboard/mouse. I don't know how their aim-assist differs from that of Battlefield, but it works.
That factor plus indications that we are getting what was advertised has me excited. I've made no secret that I fear The Division is one giant bullshot based on the demos we've seen at shows for the past year. I had similar concerns for Destiny and so far they have been unfounded

Thing that worries me is strikes being limited to 3 people when you may have more people trying to play together. 3 is a small party size IMO especially considering it's a fps and most online fps game players are used to being with larger groups.
